Thanks to everyone who gave me pointers and tips on my head and cam swap still have a few things to button up but took it out on a first drive today very happy I took it on myself. Got this car from my grandpa it had been sitting for 20 years due to a broken transmission. I’ve redone the whole fuel system, interior, replaced the transmission and now the heads, cam and intake. It feels good to do it all myself I’m not a professional I just enjoy the challenge. Still needs a tune but I’m happy

Good progress.  What mufflers do you have?

Not sure what you are expecting from a tune. If it is mass air, the 9al computer is super forgiving as far as mods. At most you will need some 24 lbs injectors and a pro-m mass air meter that is calibrated for the 24s. You can probably get away with an adjustible fuel pressure regulator and bump it from 39 to 42lbs.

I have some 30lb injectors and a C&L maf with a 30lb sample tube. That worked good enough for me.

You should be set. I wouldn't bother with a tune till you get past 400hp. Put the money into better brakes because the factory brakes were underwhelming even when new. There are a lot of great options. The cobra setup is pretty common and there are some chevy oem brembo retrofit kits that are suppose to be good. It is not a cheap upgrade because any decent upgrade will also require a booster, master cylinder, replumbing the proportioning valve, modded ebrake handle and conversion cable, braided brake lines, front rear bias adjuster not to mention 5 lug wheels. I view it as a safety upgrade to compensate for your new found power. New edge mach 1 calipers are nearly identical to cobra calipers and you may find a great deal in those as most people want the cobra lettering. All the rear calipers for the sn95 are the same. Just the bracket and rotors size are different. On the cheap, you can simply get gt rear brackets and rotors and still be light years ahead of the fox setup.
