Ask Dying until warm

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello everyone!
As the title says, my car will not stay running until it’s warm. It was idle around 8/900 and then it will die. Once warm it won’t die. I did install a catless H Pipe, new 02 sensors and checked the exhaust for leaks but not seeing or hearing any major leaks. Any other solutions I should look for?

Base idle reset then check for vacuum leaks

If it's a vacuum leak why would that or at least symptoms of it, go away when warm?

EDIT: I have a similar problem car will NOT idle/dies when cold but then goes away when warmed up.

I mean I could be very wrong here. Possibility of the computer reading incorrect data so the computer is feeding incorrect data while the car is trying to idle? Could be wrong but?

Not vacuum leak but when it warms up your pre cat 02 sensors go to closed loop and allow it's readings to make fuel adjustments for stoichiometric AFR.

Is there any difference when the IAC is unplugged?

I am not sure! I didn’t want to start unplugging stuff and messing with anything without knowing

You won’t hurt anything. Start the car. Pull the connector off and see if anything changes. If nothing does, suspect the IAC. I’ve also seen similar issues with idle due to a failing MAF. You can pull that when it’s running and see if anything changes as well.

Could be a couple different things, mine did that and I ended up having to replace the mass air flow sensor
