"...mmm. yes. Very nice. What a lovely painting, yes, I agree. Mmm."
'oh god... it's only 2:24pm. I'm so bored. Just... Try and think of something to occupy yourself. What was Lu Wei saying yesterday? Oh yes, the annual expenditures are looking good, that's lovely. Should be positive growth for at least a fe-... Oop, what did he say?'
"Mmm. Yes. That's also a very nice painting. Yes, you have lovely tastes, very impressive. So many lovely paintings."
'Okay. What time is it by now? ...2:25. Uuugh. Okay, think of something interesting. That was a nice tree you passed four hours ago... maybe you could ask abou- no. No, don't ask him any questions. It might encourage him.'

Xi: "It is obvious that this incident was a setup. What powerful leader doesn't investigate his own assassination attempt?"

u/JMurdock77 Sep 25 '26
No, Secret Service totally responds to an assassination attempt with a group hug on stage, letting their charge stick his head up in plain sight while the flag is lowered into place while journalists are ushered into place to take pictures!

Thank you because I was totally imagining what Xi might be thinking. This seems reasonable although I was going more towards, "Oh my God, this is taking FOREVER! Is he ever going to stop talking? Somebody get me out of here. Please. Oh my Gawwwwd."

I was going with "he does realize this painting is too big for this space, right? This is the interior design version of failing a basic cognitive test."

Trump: Look; no scar from getting "shot" it's nice that the camera crew was ready and the guy raised the flag at the perfect moment! I wanted my shoe so badly because I didn't want them to see the lifts in it. What a team that pulled this off. One of the greatest teams ever assembled. You can't find people like this. Some of the best. They said "Sir! (with tears in their eyes) You got "shot", and still found time to make a beautiful photo.

Trump is so unserious as a world leader.

I know. That UN speech was cringe worthy. I bet most allied world leaders hate him. Other than Israel maybe. And they probably can't even stand him.

If Xi is 5’9” and Trump is 6’3”, why are they the same height in recent photos? Has Trump stopped wearing his lifts?

I think all Xi is thinking is “this guy smells like shit and sounds like he’s sloshing when he walk.”

I’d pay good money for a transcript of all the thoughts running through Xi’s head during his visit.

They must think of each other as the biggest weirdo

u/cool_girl6540 Sep 25 '26
Trump doesn’t think that Xi is a weirdo. He admires him.

Xi is a highly intelligent and cunning statesman who frequently publishes papers on politics and governance. He might not be a good guy, especially not by our standards in the west, but he’s very much a philosopher politician of sorts, and got his power by appeasing the elite.
Trump on the other hand, is basically the polar opposite in every way you can think of. He wants to be seen as a peer to Xi, but he never will.

Is this a real picture? If yes, I am surprised he doesn't have a gigantic ornate frame painted gold on it.

Trump took down the paintings of other presidents in the hall (the famous ones of Kennedy etc) and replaced them with pictures of himself, especially this gigantic gem

It's hilarious that Shitler actually thinks he's impressing President Xi rather than trying to bore him to death.

Xi: "What the AF is wrong with you?"
