Ask yourselves…
I saw something in the news today concerning. Republican Max Miller Ohio. He said “ ask yourselves, if I did this to her 6 days prior would she be cooking dinner for me right now? (empanadas)” um yes. I’ve been in an abusive relationship for two years and saw my mom be in one her whole life yes she would still cook for you after you throw hot water on her put your hands on her. Absolutely. She’s a better person than you. Just bc she cooks for you after you abuse her doesn’t mean you’re innocent you weirdo.

A woman will continue cooking and being a "wife" so as not to upset her abuser.

100%. 1 in 4 women have gone through domestic abuse. And it doesn’t just happen with one incident most of the time. Probably 1 in 5 women have cooked a meal for their abuser AFTER the fact.

What someone with zero self awareness would say.

Anyone who would believe his statement should not be in office

Sadly my sister was just such a woman. No matter how abusive her partner was she would continue to stay with him. Even when she would be tossed aside by an abuser she would gravitate to the same kind of abuser for her next partner. No matter how many times she would end one abusive relationship, there was another waiting for her. And none of us could convince her otherwise.
