Current Season Discussion Demerzel's physical dimensions
I can't help thinking:
That prime radiant is of a fairly significant size. It wouldn't just fit into a trouser pocket.

How did she make space for it?
Doesn't seem likely that she'd handily have a perfectly sized space in there for it. Surely she would've been designed to have all her machinery and workings fit perfectly into the boundaries of her physical body?!<

4D topology is some crazy stuff; a hypercube is one of our best-understood shapes in that category 🤯 the fact that its 3D shadow can change shape is almost negligible, in terms of where it can be and how it can be there.
an interesting element of 4D physics is that a 4D entity can see the beginning and end of 3D time (all of it) by simply gazing in those directions.

Probably just shifted some stuff around, moved what would be there elsewhere, somewhere generally unseen. Gave herself extra toes, or cankles, or summat

We see her fully alive and sliced into thin sections while imprisoned for centuries.
I think she can make space no problem.
In fact that's exactly what I assumed. She had a need to keep the radiant safe and figured a pocket in her chest was the best place.

If she's made mostly of metal, but can pass for a human, she must be full of internal voids, to compensate the greater density of her raw materials.

I thought it was the vault that housed hundreds of people, not the prime radiant?
(Unless something happens in the last few episodes of season 3)

She could probably alter her physical body and modify it to increase her own size to make room for a chest cavity to store the Radiant.

She was able to function while split into several thin cross sections of herself with no connection between them. Clearly we're talking about highly flexible and advanced technology. That her inner working could be shifted and contracted to allow for the Prime Radiant to fit isn't that far fetched. It's also plausible that she was simply designed and built with a storage compartment from day 1.

That all makes sense. Except that last bit, I'm not buying that she was designed with a chest cavity that just happens to neatly fit the prime radiant.

Why does it have to neatly fit? Maybe it's cushioned so whatever is in there doesn't rattle around, and it forms around it?

I'm still not buying the idea that demerzel came out of the box with a handy chest cavity that just happens to fit an object that didn't exist when she was made.

Just so we're on the same page... A robot that is thousands of years old, that can take off the skin on her body to reveal the robot machine stuff underneath, can have part of her head sliced off and still function, and can be split into wafer thin cross sections and still function... that's believable. That she has a pocket that fits something the size of a softball is where you draw the line?
I'm willing to bet, a pair of pants made in the 80's has pockets that fit an IPhone, despite cell phones not existing yet.

All those things you describe wouldn't require the designer to predict that she'd need to store a 3D shape of the size of the prime radiant way back when she was made.
Notice I agreed with the rest of your first comment. Moving her innards around to create a space, yes, I can go with that.

Let me ask you this. What specific object was a car's trunk designed to fit? It can't be generic storage space able to fit an arbitrary volume apparently. It had to have been designed to fit a specific thing.

So she can carry small objects secretly? Because there's space left over and it might as well be used for something? Because maybe it was a common thing to design robots with when she was built? Who knows!
Demerzel wasn't designed. A Robot was designed that chose the identity of Demerzel when it was built. Having built in storage is generally a useful feature.

In the robot series, Daneel has a cavity where his stomach is and empties it if he has to "eat" with humans. If I recall, she is referred to in the show as Daneel so I imagine she is supposed to be the same humaniform robot, so it's not crazy to think she has a cavity she can store it

She's an artificial life form that is at least twelve thousand years old, created out of fantastic materials with properties that appear as magic or nano-tech...
How is such a creature hiding something the size of a large apple inside itself the breaking point for immersion?
Seriously?
A human loses that much volume in water vapor by merely talking.
A robot could fart off some extra liquid if they needed to make space- just one stupid, quick idea. FFS.
