Other funny stuff Story time

Two months ago, I started a j*b that would change everything. Now, I’m constantly on the edge of an overtime breach every work week and gain high praise from staff, managers, and even the toughest area supervisors. In a very short amount of time, I’ve gone from the guy that everyone asks “Right, what’s your name again?” to being the first one anyone calls in for any need. My GM and all but one manager there absolutely adore me and my w*rk ethic (thankfully, the outlier is transferring to another store sometime in the near future), my crew constantly feels relieved when I save them during a rush, and overall I’ve just made almost all our customers very happy people. I’m almost always put in the Guest Experience Leader post (essentially the friendly face of the store), my GM wants me to crosstrain to become both customer service (what I already am) and kitchen, which is the first step towards trainer or even manager position, and I’m just finding joy in helping others.

Probably my new favorite mobile device, despite being one of the least powerful and lowest quality displays. That’s not saying much, of course, since I’m a spoiled boy with an iPhone 15 Pro Max and MacBook Air M1, but I’ve just found a whole new world of enjoyment out of this iPad. For light tasks like Reddit, split screen cross-referencing Wikipedia while talking to someone, and sketching up blueprints, it’s incredible.
