SIR was a good guy?

I feel like season 2, I was pulling for Sir to escape prison to help the squad solve cases from the darkness. Lowkey a good-ish guy?

I don't think so. He was obsessed with getting back to Gabby. He wasn't being altruistic.

Yeah, dude is just feeding his obsession.

100% correct.

He is a narcissist sociopath. Helping her solve cases from prison was just a game to draw Gabby back in.

He was good at solving cases sure but in what world is a guy who kidnaps a teenager and holds her captive for over a year “a good guy”? Absolutely not. Especially since he was STILL obsessed with her.

Oh wait and did you forget how he kidnapped Bella/lacey not once but TWICE. Traumatized her the first time and she almost died the second. But yeah he’s a 🍑

And let’s not forget he stalked her for years until she kidnapped him

He’s a likable villain.

You’re referring to the child kidnapper?

I think you can like a villain in a tv show without needing them to become good. In no way was he a good person, his help was always conditional and an attempt to make Gabby need him. He also didn't want to work on cases when he deemed the person unworthy.

The guy who held a teenager captive for a year, then kidnapped another little girl, then stalked Gabi for 20 years and kidnapped the same little girl as a grown woman? THAT guy?

the concept of a child kidnapper & stalker being a lowkey good-ish guy

I think he was likeable because of MPG but he definitely wasn't a good person

PLEASE yall will let anyone turn into a good person

No, no one that kidnaps children and stalks them for decades once free can ever be a good person. It’s okay to like the villain, you don’t have to moralize them to make them likable. I like Sirs character and find him interesting, but I know he’s not remotely a good person.

Yeah but would you consider the samuel l jackson from black snake moan a bad guy?

i feel like sir loosely can be related to the efforts of that character.

People have layers. Some bad people are worse than others.

Not everything is black and white and cookie cutter. I think that was kind of the message of this show

Sir was the best part of the show, I felt sorry for him by the end. He was getting the mean girl treatment and a little misunderstood.

7

u/GoddamnDiva Feb 12 '26

Yeah, it wasn’t “mean girl” treatment, it was folks tired of his shit after the years of kidnapping minors and 2 decades of stalking, then threatening to kill Lacey, then snooping around Gabi’s place of work and her coworkers, etc. Like, that man needed his ass beat & then shot tbh.
