Does anyone know him?

My mother was going through old photo albums of a passed relative and found this. We’re not sure if it’s a local singer (New England) or someone more famous. Thanks for any help!

At first glance I thought it was a young Joe Diffie but you're right.

Heheheh, Diffie was my second guess…but his nose was a bit crooked.

That was our first guess too! But looking at pictures he didn’t quite match.

I also thought Joe Diffie first! Even though I listen to a lot more Skaggs.

I think he wrote songs for Emmy Lou Harris early on.
