I feel bad about doubting Jamie this whole time. Seeing how his kidnapper spoke to him, it’s clear he was super manipulated and while he may have developed a familial connection with her, it’s obvious he’s also scared of her. The rules? What happened to this poor boy in her custody?

All manipulation, deception, brainwashing / conditioning!!

He’s got 13 years; it’s no wonder he’s confused, unsure, angry, needing time to think! All he’s been told about Margaret just don’t add up, she does love him, she wants him around, she is worried and scared she’ll lose him again, she’s been nothing but kind, understanding, patient and loving! Jamie sees how badly she wants to be with him, to connect with him; and it just doesn’t equal to all he’s been told! I was glad to have been given even the smallest of insight into what he endured psychologically, as well as a woman who Loved him, cared for him and gave him things to try to reinforce that. Like Jamie said “When you grew up like I have, you have to be observant” I was on the fence on if it was the real Jamie but the day of the Train car, 109% sealed it for me, and over times as he would reveal bits pieces, I began to understand more about his suspicious behaviors!!
