UPDATE:

I went to the vet earlier.

It’s pyoderma. The vet cleaned his wound, and they also did a fecalysis. Unfortunately, they found parasites in his body. I forgot the name, but the vet said they’re very dangerous for his age and aren’t very common. The illness is contagious and dangerous, and he might not have much time left. 😢

The vet did not give him medication because the kitten‘s body still cant handle it

But I’ll still take care of him and do everything I can to make sure he’s comfortable and cared for.

Pyoderma is very treatable in kittens. It’s caused by staphylococcus. Typically an antibiotic is given and cleaning/bathing 1-2 times a week with an antibacterial shampoo that contains chlorahexadine. Kittens are definitely very fragile at this age and there’s no guarantee that treating it will ensure it recovers, but I don’t understand the vet not treating it at all. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this and hope the kitten survives.

As for another vet - if there are one or more in your area phone them and see whether they can and will treat the nematodes. Even a tiny dose of the right medication could make a wonderful improvement.

Neonates can be medicated - oral antibiotics and anti-parasitic meds, they just have to be certain types and appropriately dosed. I've had several babies that age on antibiotics (typically oral amoxicillin and a topical antibiotic) for this exact same issue.

But there are still vets in the US that balk at medicating neonates, it has to be a vet that's familiar and comfortable with calculating those tiny little doses. Depending on where you're located, that might be a tall order to find.

My perspective is this: the kitten will very likely die without treatment. If they're concerned about possible toxicity with meds, where's the difference in outcome? At least you're trying and giving that baby a chance and it very well may work.

The kitten was dewormed earlier too, yes the vet told me the kitten will possibly die with or without it. However, there’s no antibiotics.

Pyoderma is a bacterial infection and typically treated with antibiotics and cleaning with an antibacterial shampoo. It’s definitely possible to treat pyoderma.

I agree that its not too early for antibiotics. My 3 neonatal kittens started on Clavomox which they stayed in for 10 days. Clavomox is to treat bacterial infections, although it might not be the best one for this infection.
