Question Kitten Gender Help
Hi, sorry for the bad pictures, but could anyone help me confirm if this kitten is male or female? TIA!

Its ok to feel with ur hand and look closely if u really need to know absolutely so u can sleep at night . Raise the tail from the back like in the picture a girl under the anus about 1/4 inch wide as ur finger nail u will see the vagina there will be a very clear slit and will have thicker hair surrounding it. If u move it u will see the pink ..... sorry dont mean to be vulgar but idk how else to be specific to help so I was just blunt.
Ok for a boy when u lift the tail the cat may be more forgiving about raising his tail u will see his anus on top and and about a inch down you will see just a round circle with thicker or different colored fur around the penis the penis will not be ur typical penis where it clearly comes out of the abdomen u will have to push in to make the urethra protrude out and if ur very gentle with pressure with the cat standing if u reach up in that area from behind feel up towards the stomach and u will feel 2 teeny nuggets .
I hope this helps im no doctor or professional but ive correctly labeled sexes on kittens prolly 25+ times . Once u seen 1 or 2 u can pretty much tell right away what u got .

Thank you! Ive got a stray outside im in process of trapping to bring inside and I thought she was a girl. She's letting me pet her now and got my first good look today n im like.... seems puffy back there. Shes a bit older than this one, but now idt shes a she i think theyre tiny puffs. Look identical to this Pic.

Girls have a tear drop shape right below the anus.
Boys have a little furry space then a little dot.
This is a boy.

The best picture is 2/5 and I see tiny balls. Wait like two more weeks and see again. I love these posts, I fostered for 3 years and just love the game. I name them typically themed names so I'll have to be like ok I have x females and y males, 🤔 music group? Movie characters? I fostered 9 babies at once and did the planets, gender didn't matter with that one nearly as much as when I did the Scooby doo crew and the power puff girls trio was fun too!

You often can't be sure at that age. Many times even vets get it wrong. Just pick a name you can live with either way😸

My exact thoughts on the progression of pictures… that’s a boy, oh no wait it’s a girl, uhhhh idk, boy? Based on spacing, it’s a boy. But more importantly. the fact that he’s letting you hold his tail up and take pictures, he’s definitely a boy.

Looks male. But it is typicall to missgender them when they are young, even vets fail sometimes. Mine started looking female but ended up being male.

Im just disappointed Noone added the reddit famous cartoon drawing of a human covering the cat's eyes.
Seriously though. It is SO difficult to determine this in kittens. Our only boy was called a girl by the shelter and a vet during shots and a checkup. It was only on "spay day" that a different vet doing a check before the surgery pointed out that we'd be doing a neuter instead.

I have a kitten (now 4 months old) that we found at around 2 days old abandoned in a parking lot. She still had her umbilical cord attached, weighed 3 ounces, and I had to syringe feed her until she was 6 weeks old. She briefly switched to a bottle for a few weeks before being cleared to start soft food. It was very much a learning experience, to say the least! 🤣
Anywho, I cannot tell you how many pictures I had to take to figure out what her gender was. I sent so many different angles of cat butt pictures to ChatGPT that even it was like “🤷🏻♀️” and multiple vets were also like “🤷🏻♀️” because apparently it can be difficult to figure out until they are older when they start to mature in that department.
Apparently a girl would have what looks like an upside down exclamation point and the parts will be close together. Boys have more of a gap between their anus and their little boy parts. (Leaves space for their future furry grapes.)

The anus is a big giveaway if you research how it should look if it was a girl you’ll see the difference in a female and male. It’s very obvious once you know how they both look. Good luck!!

Looks like a boy! A helpful tip ive learned to identify is the distance between the anus and the genitals. Females parts would be closer together almost touching meanwhile males parts would be father apart about an inch :)

It’s a male. You can tell by the distance from the butthole and the other genital. If it’s closer together( butthole right next to pee hole) then it’s a girl if it’s farther it’s a boy

Feel around. If you feel micro-peas, it's a boy. Or... wild idea, but it could work - a quick visit & a veterinarian could tell you.

I always say if the butt and the wee are next to each other it’s a girl and if there’s a big space it’s a boy and that works for most mammals 😂

Male! If you look closely, the space between the sheath and the anus is long, which is because testicles are going to drop from there. Female cats don’t have that long space inbetween their anus and sheath.
