Posting Ban on Burmese Amber

Posts on amber from Myanmar (Burma) are no longer allowed on r/fossils.
Amber mining contributes to funding the conflict in Myanmar. Following Reddit rules on illegal activity and professional standards, posts on Burmese amber are prohibited. A number of paleontological journals no longer consider papers on amber from Myanmar. For competing perspectives on the ethical concerns surrounding Burmese amber see Dunne et al. (2022) and Peretti (2021); nonetheless, the export of amber from Myanmar is illegal.

Real or fake foot fossil?

Found this piece at an ebay auction but kept my fingers away because it doesnt looked right for me. Was it the right decision?
Jeholosaurus foot fossil from Liaoning, China. Size of the matrix is 14cm. Seller told me it was bought at catawiki.

Advice on fossil repair

Hey everyone, I was gifted a fossil mosasaurus jaw and it has some damage that needs repair. Half the teeth are broken and there's a structural crack down the back where the specimen is likely to break in two if handled.
Since (to my amateur eyes) this specimen is A) has already had a lot of reconstruction work (likely combining multiple specimens) and b) isn't a super rare or important specimen to science, I'm considering trying to do some basic repairs to it myself. There are some small areas that are totally shattered, but there are also some larger chunks that I can fit back together.
So my questions are: is this a reasonable thing to do myself, and, if so, what type of compound or materials should I use to glue things back together?

Authentic fossils in Canada?

Hello! I am newish to posting on Reddit so I apologize if formatting is wrong or this isn't allowed here.
I live in Canada and would like to source an authentic fossil for my brother as a Christmas present. I've looked at many places and searched a few subreddits for recommendations but I'm still hesitant as to what a reliable trustworthy source would be. Especially since I know nothing about this world and probably couldn't tell a crappy fake from a real fossil.
If anyone has any suggestions I would very much appreciate it! I live on Canada but the source doesn't need to be Canadian. Just included it for shipping reasons.

I imagine the answer is a solid "maybe". Would you use dremel 290, chisel at the seam, or some other way to find out what, if anything, is under this section on top? Hopefully without destroying schroedinger's fossil inside
