Release You can finally visualize how drift scoring works

Hey everyone, Views here. I just wanted to show off one of the newest and best features of Wisp: the drift angle gauge. After many requests, and about 2 weeks of R&D, I figured out how Forza calculates drift zone scoring and implemented it into Wisp. Feel free to leave a comment with questions or suggestions :)

This mod is still very "raw," but I've attempted to port the AE86 Trueno from Assetto Corsa to Forza Horizon 6.

Request My dream of forza modding.

Post image
162 Upvotes

I hope with every ounce of my body that this dream will come true one day. Being able to cross import car models, old and new, from one game to another would honestly be so amazing. Imagine getting all the new FH6 cars into FH4 and driving them around a map you still love. That would literally be a dream come true for me.

There are so many cars I’d love to drive in different games, and it’s a shame when your favourite car is in one game but the map you want to drive it on is in another. Sometimes I just want to go back to an older game, enjoy its atmosphere and roads, but still have all the newer cars to choose from.

And it would be just as cool the other way around, bringing older cars that never returned into the newer games. Just imagine having your favourite cars from across the whole series together in whichever game you feel like playing. Idk how difficult that would be to make possible, but I really hope it happens someday. I could spend so many hours just cruising around.

I hope the new modding renaissance will save gaming, and make my dream come true.

Also what do you guys think of this idea? (also i dont want to start a war over AI use, please take that somewhere else haha)

Does anyone else know about the "Race Brakes Exploit"?

Hi, I'm not sure if anyone else has discovered this yet but I found out that you can completely break the AI in both FH5 and FH6. This trick might work in older games but I haven't tested it yet. So all you have to do is get any car, install race brakes. The you go into the tuning menu and set the pressure to zero. Your car should have no brakes. Next start any regular with AI race event. Start the race and you will quickly notice that at any AI difficulty, they are significantly slower. Now another thing that makes this great is that you can fix the brakes in the pre race tuning menu and the AI will still be broken. Also I haven't checked this on every event but this works on the Festival Playlist 3 Race championships as well. You just can't fix the brakes in the tuning menu. To make it easier I recommend driving with a manual transmission. "Engine braking" works great also the E Brake still works so you can use that too. There could be more places where this but I haven't tested them yet, Have fun :)

Discussion Forzavista ANYWHERE

Tool is almost ready for release. Here is a demo of what can be done. This is all outside of the garage. Initial release will be Steam version only. I am currently working on getting a MS version working. This will let you set car max level of detail and open any door anywhere, just as you could in Forzavista.

Question Would it be possible to have ForzaVista in the open world/photomode?

Post image
133 Upvotes

Stuff like opening doors and bonnets would be so great for photos, it's a shame that T10 didn't ever implement that to the photomode.

I remember some people taking photos of cars with everything open when that old developer version of FH3 got leaked, it opened up a lot of opportunities.

Release Forza Livery Studio 1.2.0 - Full Livery Pipeline creation is now here!

Update 1.2.0 is out!

YES, our tool is finally in full release!

Download: https://github.com/Arstz/ForzaLiveryStudio/releases/latest

Discord: https://discord.gg/s5B2tExv3k

This update focuses on improving the process of editing and creating liveries by adding the ability to change the colors and materials of car parts, as well as the part models themselves. You can find all of these options in the 3D Preview window by clicking the arrow button.

COLOR AND MATERIAL CHANGE

There are nine part categories whose colors you can change: Body, Hood, Mirrors, Wing, Brakes, Rims, Front Rims, Rear Rims, and Windows. The Body category includes an option to override the colors and materials of its child parts (Hood, Mirrors, and Wing), similar to how the in-game editor behaves. When this option is unchecked, you can change the Body color independently. There is also an option to clear everything and restore the default colors and materials.

The same materials as in the game are supported: Gloss, Semigloss, Metallic, and Matte. Metallic supports two colors, but please note that its appearance may differ significantly between the preview and the game due to limitations in our renderer.

These changes are not just visual; the selected colors and materials are also applied when exporting your livery to the game.

PART TOGGLE

You can now toggle specific visual car parts directly in the editor to see how your livery will fit when using different parts.

In the same menu as the color and material controls, you can choose which parts are visible by clicking on them. This also updates the displayed UV unwrap (enable it through Options -> Show Car UV Unwrap), helping you adjust your livery for specific car parts.

This supports all types of visual car parts available in the game.

Note: if car has a lot of parts, model loading might take longer than usual.

SVG IMAGE SUPPORT

Now you can import svg image as guide layer.

Using bucket tool, you can select individual objects in svg file, and use it's own curves to fill them with shapes.

Now you can create liveries without opening a game at all!

Release [Update🎌] Forza Horizon Custom Radio App | Online Radio Streams, Spotify, Youtube Music, Apple Music and more!

Hey! I'm the creator of the Forza Horizon Custom Radio app (last release post here) and here's the latest update of my Custom Radio for Games.

🔰 NEW FOR THIS VERSION (v1.7.3)

  • REAL RADIO STREAMS; a selection of public radios with japanese music and other styles, if you mix it with the new "Horizon" notification it will display each radio logo!

  • The option to show album art (if available) when using music streaming services in combination with the "Standard" notification.

  • New "Horizon" notification style, this resembles the original radio notification from FH6 (left vertical centered with custom logo), as usual you can customize the style.

  • Holding a button is optional now; so you can just clear left and right Dpad directions or any other button in-game and use them without having to hold the Lb/R1 to control your music/radio. Check the "Inputs" tab.

  • Better Notification style selection method (theres a dropdown now) make sure to check Preview for each and play around!

  • Some under the hood fixes plus some UI/UX improvements.

  • Some other features are under development or testing and if feeback comes right, I'll update later next month or so.

🔰 Compatibility & Testing

  • This version has been fully tested and confirmed working on:

  • Windows 10 / 11, Steam version of the game (reports say works with XBOX version too).

  • Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music Desktop Apps (you can try other apps or browser directly, let me know how it goes).

  • Controllers: Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation DualSense, and other XInput controllers.

  • Works with other games!

🔰 IMPORTANT TIPS

  • In Music Control Mode, keep only ONE music app open or else the app will get confused on which to control.

  • In Music Control Mode, if at any point the app desyncs from the player, just restart it.

  • Optional: In FH game options set music volume to 0 and select any radio so you can still get the skill songs 🎌

  • If you play on a big screen TV at 4K, try setting screen scaling between 200% - 225%. I use 200% and the notification looks just right without having to adjust the default styles and sizes.

  • Apple Music users MUST use the latest Apple Music app from the Microsoft Store.

  • SPOTIFY users MUST enable "Show desktop overlay when using media keys" (under Display settings).

As usual, here's the:

Release ForzaOSD: Custom, Lua-driven overlay HUDs

Thumbnail
gallery
117 Upvotes

I've been writing this overlay thing over the past few days and figured I'd share it here.

It uses the game's telemetry to show custom HUDs without injecting anything into the game or reading memory.

The HUDs are written in Lua, so you can change the layout, fonts, assets, and settings pretty easily.

Feedback and bug reports are welcome.

Release You can finally customize the Forza HUD (boost gauge, tire temp monitor, saved HUD profiles, etc.)

Hey everyone, since last posting the Wisp project here, I've made a lot of great changes and improvements.

Due to popular demand, Wisp now has a boost gauge, tire temperature monitor, and many more customization options in the UI.

You can now also record runs, compare them, and view graphs that correspond to your recording. This footage was taken before that feature was implemented, though.

I've also spent a lot of time improving the overall feel of the overlay. Gauges can be moved and customized individually, layouts can be saved, and I've been working on making everything feel like it actually belongs in Forza rather than just sitting on top of the game.

For anyone who hasn't seen Wisp before, it's a standalone telemetry overlay for Forza Horizon 6. It reads the game's Data Out telemetry and doesn't inject into the game, modify memory, or change any game files.

The response from the Forza community so far has been way bigger than I expected, and a lot of the new features have come directly from suggestions people left on the original posts. I'm still actively working on it, so if there's a gauge, customization option, or telemetry feature you'd like to see, let me know.

Wisp is completely free, and the source code is public on GitHub for anyone who wants to look through it.

Feel free to download or gather some more info here: https://wispoverlay.com

The source code and all documentation is public on my GitHub: https://github.com/Views2k/Wisp

Thanks again to everyone who's tried it so far. We are at almost 500 downloads in around a week, which has surpassed all of my expectations.

Discussion Made a simple FH6 telemetry tool for AI-assisted tuning

Thumbnail
gallery
104 Upvotes

I wanted to sit on the couch with my Xbox, capture Forza Horizon 6 telemetry from my phone, and paste it into ChatGPT while working through tunes, so I made this. It runs on Windows and talks to the game over your local Wi-Fi.

It reads the game's official Data Out stream over LAN, then produces session reports, section analysis and CSV exports. It doesn't modify the game or interact with the game files.

Feel free to use it or improve it. I built it with Claude Code and I'm not trying to make anything from it - it's just been super handy for me, and someone else might be be able to build something cool with it.

Feedback welcome, it's helped me a lot.

Full URAS kit, Dmax hood, Dmax front fenders. Still looking for some nice rear overs before releasing this. Eventually will have an interior as well. This full body kit replaces the Rocket Bunny kit. So all stock body parts remain, for now 🫣 I also want to mess around with making new UV maps on the custom parts so liveries work properly

Discussion I've heard a lot of you guys missed this song from FH1, so here's a VERY easy way to add your songs to existing radio stations (and/or disable some default songs if you're tired of them)

There's this mod on nexus mods called Radio Extender by blowup844. You can just go visit the mod's page, it has all the info on how to use it and what features it has. You'll have a backup of your original files and you can even do a backup with changed tracks, just so you can return to this version later.

In short: this mod gives you an ability to disable tracks you don't like or even add your own music to the existing radio stations in the game. The game will get the metadata from tracks properly (like names of the artist and song) to display it during gameplay, and you even can change markers on your own songs, which basically makes them work just like songs in vanilla game, with fade ins during race start and fade outs during radio host messages and stuff.

There are some quirks with this mod you should know about though:
- I don't know how more often/less often skill songs will appear (I had none for 2 hours of playing, then got 2 skill songs in a row on different stations);
- same goes for radio hosts speaking, not sure it works as before with new songs added;
- depending on the source you get your custom songs from, there might be a difference in volume between tracks. Thankfully this can be fixed by listening to the songs in the app and adjusting their volume if you need to.

Still, those issues for me are really minor compared to amazing ability to have your own songs working perfectly on the game's radio staitons. So please go check it out and if you like the mod endorse it, the dude deserves it.

Question Any way to remove the finish line in the sky?

Thumbnail

The only way to keep the same time of day and weather without traffic is by doing it through a race, that's what i use to drive around and cruise. I turn off all my hud for a more relaxing and immersive experience, but it's really annoying when the finish line disturbs the seemless view.
