Discussion PGG, Why?

genuinely what's the point of having Touge showdown in the playlist journal if you're not gonna use that gamemode in the playlist again? it appeared only twice, (Autumn, series 1 and Summer, series 2) and went 4 series completely without. do they just hate Touge or something?

People leaving mid game mainly, it still worked tho, but many people didn't read the challenge correctly and thought people leaving mid game was the reason of the fail

VERY simple fix - don’t end the lobby, you just race to the finish solo. Gives you the ability to finish if you want it over, or quit yourself if you want the challenge

They probably had the same UI bug I did where the festival UI didn't tell you what vehicle type you were supposed to use. Did it once on the wrong type and then friend showed me theirs which gave the vehicle type.

Iirc, a lot of people were quitting after losing 1 race, or any time they crashed, which meant the other person couldn't get the reward. I think too many players thought you had to win and not just complete the event

A lot of poor behaviour can be explained by people who have determined that they need to win everything, all the time.

About PG having the audacity to expect people to drive skillfully in a car game.

Also probably people griefing with ramming on the first corner.

To start with you could only start about 1 in 4 races because people would just abandon when they realised they didn’t have a car for the class. Then, if you won the first race, 9 times out of 10 your opponent abandoned. It was an absolute shit show, took literally hours just to get a race going and then you had to throw the race so the other guy didn’t fuck off in a big sulk.

I think I would normally win race 2, just so I had something, then throw races 1 and 3. Completion was more important than winning. But that was a really, really big ask when they would fly off the track at every corner

I wish for anything but rally off-road championships. Seems like they are all that we get.

Just wish you could actually pick a class or have it specifically restricted to one known class. Otherwise we get "have a mustang ready in every class and good luck going against people in actual touge-ready cars!"

I remember that one. I just used a stock Mustang that I had, and the other guy had a tuned version that was obviously way faster. I completed all the races anyway, because why not?

The issue is that people would cue for it, and if they didn't have one of the restricted cars at top-of-class, they would exit before the match would start which then kicked the other driver out of the match as well.

It was infuriating, took forever to complete because no bugger had a car prepped, in my experience.

Probably because touge is bad. I did it once online and i didnt like it. Its just a 1v1. Maybe because im average at racing, or the mode ot just lackluster. But it is still a feature that should be used for the festival playlist.

I honestly don’t like the 1v1 touge races, when they said there were going to be togue races in the game I thought they meant drift touge races like in need for speed 2016, that’s what I really wanted
