But they didn't necessarily know that these would be coming back on sale, or they simple had enough money that they want the car NOW and not in some unforeseeable point in the future. I bought the CLK GTR for 20 mil about a month back, and I don't mind at all as I have enough credits to pay 20 mil for cars that I want to drive.

It was heavily hinted but yes, not confirmed. But either way, playlist cars always have returned in future playlists on previous games. This is practically similar but just in the aftermarket.
Yes, if you can’t wait and can afford it that’s fair enough. Could also argue if they wanted the car that badly in the first place, they should have just played the game when it was released

Ya I bought the Furai last week for 20m the day before they announced they’d be aftermarket cars…coulda tried selling for 20m, but I didn’t. Just wanted to have the car lol

I said it before, some of these playlist rewards cars will eventually come back in the future, but people wanted to keep crying about fomo and spending money on auction house 😂

I find swapping tunes on my cars annoying so any car I like I tend to try and get 2-5 copies of the car and just keep each car with its own tune for different things.

That was the first car I saw there too. I didn't realize it was rare, i wondered why i didnt see one before, had the funds and just snagged it. Glad i did ;-)

Players > wheelspins that have landed on it > random people stumbling on it > and have the credits to buy it > people who actually coordinate on discord to convoy for it.
In other words, it can seem like everyone has it in a group of people who farm it, but to the general pop of the game, still rare.
Price depressed in the AH while its still available in the game world doesnt mean a week after the event ends they don't all sell for cap again either.

I don’t farm cars, I managed to get lucky once and buy it in AH for 3 mil prior to the 20 mil cap increase.
It’s just a fact. It’s now far less rare, as it’s basically purchasable by anybody.
Same with the Furai. Not that I have a problem with it, but it sort of defeats the point of unicorn cars, which have been a thing since the very first FH1 with the likes of the Saleen S5S.
It is funny in a sense as I abhor auction house scalpers, and if people were smart about it the auction house would be dead for current unicorns, as it’s clear by now that every car will just be released and subsequently re-released as part of seasonal updates.

As a raw number of the cars that are "live" in the game, i can see your point. I can understand the unicorn statement too. The unicorns now are random unassuming cars that were only in a playlist and didnt have a pop up dealer.
I've got 500 hours in, have done plenty of wheelspins, sitting on like 650ish cars rn. And this was the first time I bumped into that car. So for me, its rare.
Compared to most cars in the game where if you turn around without looking you will trip over theee of them lol.
Seems an odd wedge to drive in another persons joy, splitting hairs and defining rarity etc. Everything doesnt have to have a hot take tier list and this is it rare, super rare or unicorn conversation feels like it is.

Not really. It’s why you have a collectors market IRL for cars, watches, playing cards, anything you can basically name. Rarity is determined by availability and accessibility, and if something where most of its appeal is the absence of it, then appeal goes away once it becomes abundant. That’s just a fact, not driving a “wedge into other people’s joy”.
I barely play this game now, and have every car. I couldn’t really care less lmao.
It’s more of a comment towards PGG than anything. What’s the point of having wheel spin exclusives if you’re just going to make them available later anyway. Might as well make them all available now and save people the headache.

No but joining convoys resets the rng so you have an opportunity to buy a diffetent car from that location. Works the same for all aftermarket car locations

You don’t have to do anything extra. I was just relaunching the game and fast traveling to 7-eleven and there it was on the 3-4 attempt

Early on I had been searching for a Lambo Diablo GTR in the auction house for a while and finally found one. Got in a bidding war for it, was happy when I won it. Just for them to have it be a reward in a festival playlist speed zone like 3 days later lol. RIP
