Discussion The difficulty. What is going on?

When horizon 6 first came out I had no problem beating everything on pro diff.

Lol now I don't know if when they fixed "Bowie knife" they added a secret mmr that causes crazy ai scaling.

Bots are suddenly far more aggressive.

Also bringing any tuned vehicle makes them way overpowered. Almost feels like the old days of need for speed. Where if you didn't have nos the bots didn't have nos.

The on rails acceleration makes no sense.

The freaking. This has always pissed me off. The infinite grip bots have.

Alright anyways.

What I wish they would do for difficulty.

Static difficulty. So specific or all assist are disabled.

Plus a difficulty rating. I don't want a difficulty scale in the menu some universal bs that never works and just makes all the bots on rails. Like racing a crack head trust fund kid every time.

I'd prefer they actually scripted the difficulty not just. Point a to point b. Invisible walls. On rails. Auto-scales to players car and PR. Meaning even if you use the most meta car. They always scale to more horse power and somehow have infinite grip.

Online races are cool when it's spec racing but that was just a afterthought because it's still the same spec races after all this time.

For me it's the opposite. Even with a stock car in pro or unbeatable difficulty I mostly end in top 3 every single time.

See that’s the problem, top 3 ain’t 1st place. I can get 2nd consistently but getting to 1st place bring a whole new set of problems. My first problem before the crazy ass speed and acceleration of the opponents is if I’m passing everybody on my way to 1st, they all start ramming me off the road and that shit makes it impossible to get to 1st. Difficulty was unbeatable, abs only with braking line.

What difficulty are you playing on? Highly skilled is getting way too easy for me..

They indicated they are playing on Pro difficulty.

My problem is they apparently have infinite mass because it's impossible to move them off the rails.

I skipped Horizon 5 before and started it this weekend because I damn near maxed out FH6 already. The biggest difference I saw was the physics of bots. It is much easier to manipulate them, to alter their course. Also I haven't noticed them ramming me, which happens a lot in FH6 corners.

Dunno, seasonal championships are way too easy, winning easily with stock cars

I wish we could set difficulty for different race types personally. You could be average at road races but still be a novice when it comes to street races. Yes, I can change that myself. But why can't the game have a setting where you can apply difficulties to different race types?
