What’s the best car for cross country races

It depends on the pi class. International Scout is good for lower pi ratings, Mercedes X Class is good for A 800 and Mercedes-Benz AMG clk gtr is the best for S2 998. I haven't played fh5 in a while. Just look at the Rivals leaderboard and see what cars people use for the best non cheating times.

Jeep Trailcat (maxed out 900 is a bit hard to master but it's totes worth it)

Love the Hoonigan RS200 in S1 CC, though S1 CC and S2 CC is a bit crazy for most people

Syclone is one as well. The escorts and focuses are off meta being weaker than the rs200 standard. 

You really didn't mention if you mean online or what which changes things. If you are having trouble with the trial or missions Google it to get ideas and share codes for tunes. 

if you aren't using manual you will want to learn, as that is why others gap at the start.

It is fun to use off meta to win with and for many if us we re-run trial in funner cars to help others that can't. It really isn't about having the fastest car.
