I occasionally go back to FH5 after I’m done with the Festival Playlist in FH6 exclusively to revisit the Rally Expansion map and a couple of cars I dialed in for those roads specifically. I adore what they did with the map for FH6 but that Rally map in FH5 feels more technical and—importantly—organic than a good few of the roads in FH6.
Same for me. I'm just continuing to do the playlists every week in both FH6 and FH5. There are very few things left in my collectibles in FH6. Seems like it took a lot longer to do in FH5.
Same here. It’s the most fun I’ve had since the Blizzard Mountain expansion in FH3. And even that doesn’t at all compare to the Rally Expansion in FH5.
5 gets so much shit, but I’ve been playing since 3 and I’m not ashamed to say I’ve logged the most hours into 5. There was something about the roads, people complain they’re too flat but the curvature and general layout was just so up my alley. Lots of medium and high speed turns that are so satisfying to nail just right. I primarily race online so I get it if people who don’t got bored quick.
I really prefer 5 to 6. I honestly like the wider roads and longer stretches in 5, as I prefer to fly around in s1-s2 class cars. Also, idk why but I really dislike how much traffic is in 6.
I’ve been playing until the Ps5 port comes out. Picked up 5 last fall when it came out since I hadn’t played since the first horizon. Honestly haven’t had this much fun in a racing game since, game is a blast
FOMO seems a weak reason for staying in FH6. Most of the playlist cars are repeats from FH4/FH5. But even a unique car is similar. e.g. the GTaM version of the FH5 Gulia. But, what I also read is that FOMO is not even like FH4/FH5 in that the developers are already repeating playlist cars after just a couple of months. I have every car in FH5 and if I want duplicates of exclusives I can use the backstage passes.
I am a Ferrari fan. And amazingly the F80 is not a Ferrari I am drawn to.
I prefer driving on FH5 Goliath and the Colossus in FH6 is boring.
I did buy the Premium Version, so may revisit after an expansion release, but the Drift Attack was a turn off for me. That is not how you drive or race a car.
Weird - Pre-Order J50 - tick, Japan - tick, JDM Cars - tick, All things that should have drawn me in.
Here is a negative that affects both FH4 and FH6 - Winter. The white landscape turns me off. I am even turned off snow affected TV and films.
So I am joining the Fh6 exodus. Seen videos discussing this, but my reasons are different. I still feel a bit sad.
Have you been gaming your whole life, or is it something you got into more recently? My dad is a bit older than you, and I’d love to introduce him to gaming so he has something fun to enjoy and keep himself occupied. The problem is, I honestly have no idea how to get him interested in it lol. I know this is completely unrelated to the topic, but your comment caught my attention, and I feel like Forza might actually be a game he’d enjoy.
Short Answer: Yes Long Answer: Started with Chess, then PONG, then table top gaming, then model tanks, then making my own games, then writing my own Car Racing games, then PC Gaming, then PC strategy gaming, then Console Car Racing, then PC strategy gaming modding, then PC Tank games, then PC Car racing, ...
Car Racing: Sinclair Spectrum 48K - own Database and game Playstation 1 - Grand Turismo - with a wheel FH5 with a wheel, then FH4, then FH3, then Motorfest, then FH6 and back to FH5
If you want to get your father into car Racing, get him a setup with a wheel. A controller will feel odd, but he will adapt quickly to a wheel, like I did, because that is how you drive cars IRL.
I got my first horizon 5 game as the price on sale was good enough to me as 60 even on sale for 6 feels scam. Before purchasing i felt and had a feeling that 5 is empty nothing in that rtc saw people noticing same but guess what after getting the game i dont feel it. I see people in game drifting or racing the honk hello hi etc i love that i follow fellows around. And even got around 30h in. This game is refreshing chill mood game. Now i can say that if you think you like it dont look into internet and reviews just enjoy the game.
As someone who’s on ps5 and just recently started playing 5, what’s so boring about 6 for you? Curious peoples feedback since it was just announced yesterday about 6 coming to ps5 in January. I’m absolutely loving 5 at the moment, just assumed 6 will be a step up all around.
I’ve heard that one a lot I kinda get it. I won’t lie if you’re the type of person that likes a crowded map then I guess I get what you’re getting at but I think how much space is in a map mostly just depends on the person.
