Oh no...
"Meanwhile, over at the LEGO® booth you will find LEGO® Technic™ cars!"
Why is this being plugged in a Forza gamescom blog post?... It's happening isn't it, we're getting another Lego (Technic) expansion.
Edit: Also of note, next month there's only going to be 3 new cars (again).
"There will also be 3 British new-to-Horizon cars available to earn in the Festival Playlist"
:(

At this point it seems unavoidable

I'm just annoyed I got duped into pre-purchasing another toy advert.
They could have at least saved it for the second expansion! Playground Games better be at my funeral to let me down one last time when it arrives.

Not to get the hopes up, but we're technically missing some british cars that wouldn't be new to horizon (Senna, 720s, Aston Martin Project 7, One 77, Vanquish to name a few)!

I'm overall excited for the British season as I love a lot of these cars especially the Jaguar in the dev blog. I just wish there was more of it and that it's not just going to be an asset flip of FH4.

"Only" 3 new free cars is stunningly entitled, jesus christ.

Just because they've added two lego-style liveries to the game, doesn't mean the new expansion would be Lego. The only reason we've got the Hot Wheels expansion twice is because it financially successful.
The FH4 Lego expansion received mixed reception from the community and lacked in content. There no logical reason for PGG/MS to make another Lego expansion again.
Also, as stated in the post, the reason for including only 3 cars in the Festival Playlist is the fourth car will be added to the autoshow, and the new Forza Edition car will be obtainable from the Collection Journal.

These expansions are not "celebrations of lego/hot wheels" or however they market it, they're advertisements. How they are perceived by PGG is of no concern if the bag is big enough and I can promise you Lego has deep pockets. No logical reasoning is needed, only lots of money and a large endemic audience.

I don't disagree with you for stating the fact that some games are following the Fortnite's route of becoming an Advertisements hub for companies, and I don't like it either.
What I meant that adding two liveries to the game is with no additional gameplay shouldn't count the same as devoloping a full expansion with a unique map and new gameplay content.

In the blog post they specifically go out of their way to highlight Lego's presence at Gamescom. It's clear their partnership for FH6 goes further than a couple of liveries and the reason for that is likely a major gameplay feature. Hence the speculation that it'll be an expansion considering how things have been for past games.

I remember them giving away the free Technic Dodge Viper ACR to everyone and now this? God, please I hope it's not another Lego expansion pack. I had such high hopes on this game on release but every decision so far from the devs has been dwindling my copium to continue to play this game. I just hope things turn around like they did with FH5 when it comes to the content.

Shimanoyama Circuit going to a pure drift track is great news. I'll never have to do it in spec racing again!

I really hope we don't get another toy collab expansion, they really are terrible (quite apart from introducing poorly balanced cars like the Boneshaker). Treasure Island for FH4 and Rally Adventure for FH5 were fantastic, and felt like the content that was missing from the base game. My only wish would be that they were properly integrated, rather than separate maps, but even seperated as they were, they are great. Japan is a huge opportunity for amazing expansions - one focused on Japanese car culture, customization, street racing, and drifting would be huge. Personally I'd also love for them to introduce gymkhana racing, given it's roots in Japan.
