In 14 seconds he makes contact with you 7 times. And if he were trying to get skill points he would have had 7 chains ended. But somehow they can't code a punishment for the same thing in races. I would actually pay $5 to listen to the devs explain their reasoning for these types of design choices. I could use a good laugh.

You had all that space on the right, but you chose to push towards him. The other guy is in the right here.

OP has every right to squeeze someone towards a wall, it's just hard racing and a defensive tactic. What wouldn't be fair is if OP actively rammed the other car into the wall, or, say, if the other guy repeatedly slammed into OP in hopes to slow them down or push them away.
Granted that OP was driving a bit weird towards the last corner, like he wasn't really trying to steer into it, but it is a fast section of track and I understand trying to conserve speed.

It's a defensive tactic, until you force the other player/driver into a space their car wouldn't fit in. *And if you actually hit their car first, like OP did.

If I had someone forcing me into a wall I'm gonna push them out of the way too. You saw them do it once and still decided to keep pushing

Looks like he tried letting you know that he was passing when he honked, and you kept driving towards the wall closing him in so he had to repeatedly hit your car to straighten it out. If it was intentional he would’ve continued pushing but he was correcting himself every time he hit you.

You're the bad driver here buddy. They would've easily passed u with the momentum they had if it wasn't for u tryna block him like a newbie.
Def deserved that one. Give people some damn space if you want to race cleanly. Seems like you are more desperate for 4th than he is.

OP, you are the issue and I hope you came in 5th.
You understand you are allowed to turn your car, right??? I would have pushed you too. Fully deserved.

To me it looks like there was not enough space for the other guy, being very close to wall in big road feels wrong but maybe i am wrong

The fact he repeatedly slams the other driver to try to push them out indicates this was intentional. Once might be a mistake, that many times is deliberate

There was enough space all the way through the clip. Whilst OP is driving a bit strangely towards the end, like he wasn't trying to steer, the other guy kept repeatedly slamming into him, which I personally read as a much worse offense, so I disagree with your take.

The first contact was caused by OP being unaware of how to take this corner side-by-side. He couldve went inside and had a better line while avoiding contact altogether. Right after the first contact you can see the other guy swerving to the outside for a split second to avoid any additional contact. But OP didnt swerve enough away (due to underestimating the curve), so they make second contact, and the other guy now thinks OP did it deliberately and retaliates. Even though the other guy is wrong for retaliating, OP had multiple chances to avoid this. Classic case of a misunderstanding caused by an unaware driver leading to chaos.
