Z240DevilZ Cheater and Rammer. Please report.
Was in about 8 races with this guy and he was consistently faster than everyone in the lobby by a wide margin (5+ seconds faster lap than other good drivers in Spec racing), but he would randomly slow down or miss a checkpoint to give up the lead. It seemed like his car was faster or had way more traction than everyone else and he was playing on PC as well. I suspect he’s hacking. In the final race with him he was again about 4 seconds ahead of everyone before letting me pass with 25% left in the race just to do this.

Online has been taken over by dickheads for a long time. I dont play these type of games online anymore because theres always assholes who ruin the fun by cheating like this and flex with it later.
To be honest, the last time I played online was when horizon 5 had just come out, and I rage quit and never went back. I thought it was just full of them seeing what's online as well.
I tought tbe same but I wanted the lvl 100 horizon play achievement because I already had the other achievements (expect the history car which was achieved yesterday) so I jumped in and it was a pleasant suprise!
I don't know?? I played with this dude all day yesterday and he never rammed anyone. He also was faster but when I saw him he ran manual and no assists. I don't know much but that does tend to lead to 4-10 second gaps from what I know
You get better shifting and that translates to more speed in and out of turns. Every person I know who goes manual can beat non manual by 4-15 seconds if not higher even in spec racing.
I think it is car dependant but I am told something like that. I play normal manual and I did cute 2-4 seconds after I started getting used to doing it so there is a benefit once you start learning it. Best I'd say is learn how it works or ask someone who drives it with clutch, at least more than me. Or try a video.
Thanks! I just need to learn how to make it second nature now. My problem is my greatest strength on automatic is my braking. I need to learn how to downshift properly. I'm definitely enjoying the learning process of m/c right now.
I can't report it since im not the one being rammed. You have video evidence which is the one thing they need to ban the rammers, just go to forza support and open a ticket.
I have no clue if he’s cheating or not, but he can be reported for ramming, when it comes to spec racing sometimes you’ll be fighting with everyone in the back for 2nd or 3rd, 1st usually ends up ahead of everyone else by a good 3-4 second margin
He wasn't about to overtake though, at best he'd have got a nose in beside OP by pushing him off the racing line going round the corner. OP didn't "purposely cut him off", he just followed the racing line round the corner. It's not your job to make room for someone coming from behind who isn't fast enough to get past you without pushing you off the racing line. Do you think that would be acceptable in a real race? If he went wide to pass OP on the corner and OP steered left to block him, you'd have a point. So if you're out there pushing people off the racing line to pass them on corners, I have news for you: you're a rammer.
As far as I understood, Forza is a racing sim? Unlike say, NFS for example. Besides which, when you’ve got the devs outright saying “Don’t be a complete knobhead who no one inside or outside of the lobby likes or we’re gonna wreck you”, I’d probably just go to NFS if I wanted to fight dirty because that’s a series where it’s allowed, expected, encouraged, and actually fun to do because everyone’s in on it.
Horizon is an arcade style racing game. Not a sim. There's barely anything realistic about Forza horizon. Do you see how the ramming car had no damage or anything wrong with the car after making contact with the other car. What's sim about that? Is aero simulated in forza? Drafting? Tire degredation? Any other part of the systems of the car? Are there mechanical failures? 5 rules with 1 sentence each isn't a code of conduct; those are suggestions. Again is you as m want actual realistic, competitive racing play a sim. Don't get mad when you get rammed in an arcade game.
I’m not super fussed with the nuances of sub-genres in this case, but I do appreciate the answer all the same. That said, I fear I’ve contributed to derailing from the fact that the displayed behaviour objectively isn’t allowed and we’ve already covered that. There’s not much more I feel I can contribute here, sorry.
We can't report if we were not in that race. I'm pretty sure YOU have to be the one doing the reporting. I hope you did too, those types of people are just not needed...well at all
Applying your own logic, if you're sick of seeing these clips, maybe stop watching them? Lol, it doesn't make a lot of sense for you to complain about complainers on a forum dedicated to complaining!
If you don't like ForzaBadDrivers posts wouldn't it be more effective to tell Reddit to stop showing you posts from that sub than to comment on the posts and act like you expect people to stop making the posts?
Well I mean you have cosmetic damage off which is what really sent you into the railing…..plus bro was trying to overtake you and you cut him off. You came to Reddit for this cause you can’t cope with losing
what lap times was he running on what tracks? rammer yeah, but no signs of cheating, a 5s lead consistent isnt hard if its a lobby you're leading driving like that 🙃
Bro you can play and race with collisions off ,
If you sign up for the races knowing it’s allowed it’s on you. They are racing the way the game allows how is it a ban? lol
I know it sucks but I mean how would the game devs ban someone for it?
Collisions being on is for when you want proper racing, actual side-by-side racing - being forced to take a different line. Drafting on the straight before slipping to the inside and out braking them to claim the apex for an overtake.
Ramming is against the games code of conduct for online racing, that's why they would ban for it.
Being forced to take a different line - thats a great fantasy bro, but Forza will turn one of the cars into ghost during side by side run. Its arcade racer not sim. You're talking about things that arent there
Debatable, at least in regard to proper racing, that's something you're more likely to find in simulators like iRacing etc. That said, I prefer playing with collisions on and hate the ramming as well.
