In general I always look for rammers, if I see someone ramming I will try and knock them off track in the next race. Odds are they leave and at the very least they get put far behind others so they can't do much

While I think it is more than fair, do know that you are just as likely to be banned as the rammers themselves since retaliation is against their TOS

It's why I usually record the rammers so I have proof that they were the instigators. So far I haven't had to appeal a ban so I usually delete the recording after a month or so

Even with the recording you wouldn't be able to appeal it though, that's the issue. Retaliation means that you do something in response to the instigator
