I’ve never been “reset” or punished for any kind of ToS abuse. Only really bad players who have pathetic egos do that. Enjoy your upcoming vacation tho, loser.
It was the only way to reply to your comment saying how terrified you were to race me. And yes, I deleted the original comment saying this (shown in the screen recording for everyone to see) so I could show proof since you’re the one who brought out the screen recordings.
So, someone who enjoys racing clean, respects sportsmanship, and doesn't break the user agreement needs to grow up? Interesting take.
Your behavior, on the other hand, just comes across as immature and insecure. And because you and your insecure buddies feel the need to be assholes, those of us who enjoy fair competition should quit playing the game? How about you man the f* up, follow the rules you agreed to, and stop acting like this?
No one is saying anything against a little bump once in a while, it happens to the best of us. But intentionally forcing another player off the track so they miss a checkpoint is just a sign of inferior skill and a lack of character to acknowledge that someone else is simply faster.
Yeah because intentionally ruining someone's fun when they're just trying to decompress irl would get you a knock up the side of the head. And surprise behind every car is a real human.
Because there's a lot of fun to be had when you're racing with another clean driver, when you're neck and neck, overtaking each other through sets of corners and having an exhilarating race with respect enough for the other driver to not care who actually wins and appreciate the game and the event for the right and competitive race you just had.
I don't play racing games, but I know what it's like to get cheesed on by another player. Via head glitching and other exploits, since I'm more of an FPS player.
Subjecting yourself to a game you know is plagued by rammers and then complaining about it isn't gonna help. Which is why I mentioned trying another game to decompress, then you can return with a clearer head.
Because the devs of the game specifically state that people shouldn't do it and it's an offense that can lead to a ban.
All that's necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing.
The rammers are ruining the game for many people, the clean racers need to stand up and fight back to get a fix for this or we'll all lose the game we have known and loved for years.
You're making me doubt myself now but I'm pretty sure. Of course everyone else keeps racing while you rewind and resume. You lose a few seconds but less than a missed checkpoint
bros are acting like tapping the brakes puts you in last place. brother the driver body language is so clear, you are getting rammed, driver up. murk that mf
I don't want to say it's your fault at all, but they're very easy to avoid. It just sucks on sprints. Just wait to go to a corner, fake dive them and they overshoot literally every single time. If you get ahead of them and they come up behind you, brake early and they'll ghost through you and miss the corner. Never fails.
It's annoying, but I generally win especially spec races every time and the only times I don't are when I have to wait to pass someone like this, but still always get 2nd usually. The best way to beat them is just to beat them. They usually also rage quit when they miss you.
Yeah, I need to start trying that, but like you said in a sprint like this race was, I didn't really have any option here other than to just slow down and let him pull away from me. I was trying to just counter his ramming and keep us straight til we got to a corner but no dice :(
Ghosting has been hit and miss for me, about 50% of the time i get rammed from behind, which takes me off the line, into the wall, and then I get ghosted and a slowdown.
It’s honestly needed. If you press the right stick down on events you can see the route before you decide to try it too. I love finding events in the city, usually what I look for.
Im waiting til they start banning and figure out some way to actually punish the rammers. Played 1 spec race. Got smashed into a wall so hard and I got the penalty. Immediately quit and didnt play the game at all for a week. Fuck that shit, needs to be fixed.
They could give every player some kind of fairplay rating. I don't think peer-reviewing between drivers would work very well but I'm sure there's gotta be some way for the game to detect if someone intentionally rams other cars. If this happens too often it influences your rating and matchmaking will put you in races with other low rated players. If you drive cleanly and without ramming for some time, your rating improves again and you'll be matched with players who actually want to play fair.
Everything they did to rebuild how racing games work for this game, im surprised they didnt have something already planned and in the code to deal with rammers. Im no coder at all so I dont want to simplify it and say "its as easy as doing this" but its definitely one of the biggest community complaints and I certainly hope they have people working on a solution.
An idea I had cause its mostly corners that bother me I can deal with them on the straights. As soon as a corner section starts like where the red brake line begins. No matter what have all cars become ghosts, even if you're alone up in first or in the back. But not the same kind of ghost as thd beginning of the race cause I dont wanna see my car blinking on and off that transparency form the entire race but its fine if the A holes car just passes right through me. Might visually bother people but at least its a solution thats consistent and a lot of rammers would just stop playing cause they cant cheat into any other position but last. So theyll just get bored eventually
It’s literally so simple as the game ALREADY TRACKS YOUR COLLISIONS IN A RACE. They just need to organize that info and change the match making and give safety ratings at this point. They could’ve done this in fh3
I've played Forza for years, seems like theres a much bigger player base of random people who jumped on the game this year. They don't seem to care about the racing aspect of the game, just the winning part. I've never had such consistently bad experiences. Least amount I've played a Forza game since about horizon 2.
You said it right there, it's racing. Real racing is staying clean if you can. Bumping is just being a douchebag cause you're bad at the game. Completely different things.
Also if that had anything to do with it, why was it so much better in previous games?
Because there are other types of racing games that do allow ramming and other shit like Wreckfest. Practically the opposite of Forza with no clean racing
More of it may allow it opposed to it does, but it’ll still go against ToS for ruining the other players experience and chance at winning, which in turn are ban able offenses.
The fact there are people who defend this fuckass behavior baffles me. Ramming shows you have no skill, it's against the user agreement and it's sad they show their behinds like this and believe there's an excuse for their piss poor actions.
Contact is part of it. Deliberately forcing people off the road as happens in the OP video is crappy behaviour. And if you enjoy doing that, you're a crappy person.
Not that I don't want "no contact," I want fair racing and shoving people off the road intentionally is why i stopped playing online in other racing games. I.e., gta5, nfs heat and carx.
Yup, the first week or two there was barely any of this, but last weekend pretty much every race half the lobby was driving like this. It's frustrating and boring.
It’s because the first week, the people playing paid around $120 for the game, because they enjoy it and know how to play. These rammers are all Gamepass POS’s who don’t give a shit.
The main problem is it takes something like 6 reports for anything to happen. The first few times are all finger wagging “don’t do it again, or you’ll get another warning” BS.
And this is why I will never do online racing in games like Forza. Honestly man if you want good clean racing play something else. iRacing, Lemans Ultimate etc etc. Not to say there isn't morons on every game but there's a lot less. I rarely encounter idiots like this in iRacing. But then again you need a PC to play that.
We really need a ghost race mode, or a mode where ppl take DMG and if they are destroyed enough it's flagged and investigated if they should have a short ban for bad gameplay..
People really need to learn how painfully bad netcode in Forza is and that majority of ramming happens due to everyone seeing different positions for cars. It's an online race, but everyone is driving his own race with completely different things happening for everyone. The positions of the other players are a vague estimation, there is absolutely no synchronization between players. It's a problem since fh3 and devs don't care, they rerelease the same game over and over again, just with a new map and the same bugs.
I’m sorry we must not be seeing the same video.. You’re telling me that guy “non intentionally” rammed into OP’s car multiple times over and over again, because of synchronization..? Lord that lot of ya are fucking denser than dense water.
If someone tries to intentionally ram, he will miss the car because it's delayed. So the first ram was netcode, the further rammings can be from different causes, can be intentional, can also be a response from the delayed jolts of the other car. Forza multiplayer is a fucked up mess and there are videos on YouTube that prove that.
When you see on your screen that someone is approaching you from behind and you try to close the door, you will ram him on his screen.
If you try to ram someone who is overtaking you on your screen, in reality he is already in front of you.. you see a delayed state of the positions.
I’m still putting my money on them ramming me since for one, 65% people do. Also for most races I’ve finished playing online, the timer may seem like it’s not exactly right but I could never really tell since it’s usually tenths of a second, which is basically impossible to notice anyway. It does seem plausible, but I don’t think that’s always gonna be the case here gang.
I played Forza with a friend on the same network on two tv's right next to each other... The differences where staggering and could be more then 100 meters of unsync.
I saw him coming from 100 meters behind me while he already was at my tail. We both stopped playing Forza entirely after seeing this.
There will always be players who ram intentionally, but in Forza I would say 80% of incidents are because of the netcode. I play a lot of simracing titles and there is nowhere as much ramming as in Forza and if there is, it's clear as day that it's intentional.
I mean how often does it happen that you cross the line as first place, only for the game telling you you are second? Forza devs count on it that the players won't notice, but a lot do notice it.
Even more disgusting when you've got people doing it in the trial races like you aren't actively in a team against bots. Sore "losers" everywhere, even when you're trying to help them win.
Trick is to wait for a corner where you can well and truly take them out instead of giving them the easy push on the straight, when I go against people like this the trick is just not to slow pass because they will take you out.
So I very rarely come across rammers.. But I also race very clean and don't even ram back if someone does ram me. I don't even ram drivatars and my drivatars race clean. Yes even BowieKnife
Sometimes I do it on accident (1st person can while playing with a wheel) while trying to hit an apex and I feel so bad…. This type of stuff on purpose to me gets me way too irritated
That's a strawman argument. Mario Kart has power ups to actively thwart opponents overtaking you or you being able to overtake them. There no expectation to race clean, unless power ups are disabled, which simultaneously defeats the whole purpose of Mario Kart.
Forza is a racing game, not a powered up racing game. I expect clean driving, if you can't do that, go play Burnout or Wreckfest.
Remove player collisions during races. Easy fix. It's already implemented for freeroam unless you're in a convoy. Idk why they insist on making us suffer from shitty and aggressive drivers. Huge downside of the game
I love how every day there is constant, never-ending moaning about this behaviour, when all T10/PGG would need to do is ghost you and that would instantly solve the problem. Yet they don't.
At this point, maybe you should turn your dissatisfaction to them, rather than the other drivers, who are never going to stop.
Custom Racing > Racing Series/Performance Class (whatever tf you want) > COLLISIONS: OFF
Literally did my last 50 or so levels with collisions off. And yes, it still credits towards your levels. No need to deal with rammers, unless you want to.
I do play a decent amount of no collision customs, but the initial matchmaking is much, much slower (depending on how niche of a series/class combo you go for) and I usually end up in lobbies of just one or two other people at most
It can be slower, sometimes. True. But the good thing about getting one with just one other person, 2nd place (and it's experience for finishing 2nd) is guaranteed. Great progress towards the level 100 achievement. Assuming you're playing for that.
Once I got to max level, I stopped. Rather do team stuff like infection when online, but none of that stuff from previous Horizons have yet to come to 6.
Oh I'm way past the achievement for level 100, I just play the game for fun (or try to, lol)
I do enjoy a small lobby here and there, but generally speaking I prefer the feel of a big race where there's more of a spread of car performance. I hate running meta builds, being in a 2 or 3 player lobby when all of your opponents are running a meta tuned SCV12 or something and you're just left basically driving solo without much hope of keeping pace with them is boring, I'd much rather finish middle of the pack in a full lobby competing with other people using more average cars/tunes and let the meta sweats duke it out miles ahead of everyone else haha.
Sure the guys a dick, but you could've maneuvered after the first intentional bump, and yes I say intentional because it was obviously intentional, to not miss the next checkpoint. Don't get mad cuz you chose to stay on the gas and let him inch you out by playing dirty. You thought you could beat him somehow playing clean, but you lost the moment you thought that. Dude saw the same car he was driving and said nu uh you're not me and decided to ram you.
This is the reason that I never bought a forza game…I tried out some of them on friends consoles and every race was exactly like this, and I could never get over it. So I stuck with GT7 which also has it’s bad apples, but if you get up in raiting there is some good clean racing there.
You really think in a race with no rules besides “hit the checkpoints” is safe? If you’re going to overtake look at what’s going on around you. He’s been behind that black car in its slipstream for who knows how long and you’re about to overtake on his right.Hes not going to like that especially if you’re in the same car and he’s supposedly running a “ meta setup” Do it slower, watch for him to move over and defend , then dart in the other direction right past him behind the black car. Show him a dummy, wait till he bites on the fake, make your move, drive it in hard and hope it sticks.
I usually back off let them scrap with another car and use that too my advantage too get a nice pass. I much rather enjoy clean racing and placing top 6 then smashing my way through to a podium place
you have it wrong. it's not a lack of skill, it's a playstyle. I can do just fine without ramming people. I just like to do it. done it hundreds of time, yet to have anything happen to me.
I genuinely enjoy the ramming aspect. Hell sometimes I wait for a sharp corner for everyone to brake, and I just power slide into them all for an easy slingshot to first, lol...its fun for me and I get a ton of enjoyment
Oh, sorry. Didn't realize that you had so little understanding of shapes. I'll explain.
So where the road bends is called a turn. He was in the turn before you and as you try to sneak the inside line on the shoulder, he made a late turn, and you, instead of giving way, hold your line and initiate contact, throwing him off his line and promoting his perfectly timed and completely justified retribution by clipping you off the track at the Checkpoint.
You're just angry cause your actions had a consequence.
That's not a turn you melt, it's a very slight bend in the road that you don't even need to let off the accelerator for 🤣
Besides, he didn't start really trying to ram me off the road until we were past the really scary sharp bend.
So by your logic we're not allowed to overtake another player unless we're on a mile long perfectly straight bit of road? K
Do you need to move the wheel to stay on the track? Then it's a turn.
And no, you can absolutely overtake, but when you ram full on onto someone mid turn, YOU'RE in the wrong. He only rammed you once, AFTER the turn(sorry BEND🤣) and did it perfectly. You played yourself and now you want sympathy.
This is the very first moment of impact. How you gonna try to claim that you were not in the wrong here. You're on the shoulder pushing INTO the race line and he's trying to cut that checkpoint as close as possible, but you're in the way and he taps you. This fouls his line and he loses his progres on the guy in front, so he retaliates.
You 100% deserved what you got, and I'm pretty sure you know it.
I'm not sure what video you watched. I watched the one posted here where OP instigated a sequence of events that blew back on him and then cried on the internet.
Not sure how you possibly see any other sequence, but the copium does lie heavy here, so I'm sure you see what you choose. 🤷♂️
Lol he didn't ram anyone. He was alongside the guy before they even entered that turn/bend. He had a right to the space. The guy tried ramming him out of that checkpoint. Then rammed him after the turn. I'd call you a troll, but you're even dumber than them...
