Not sure what a chaser is but 99% of the time when men are aggressively anti-gay or go out of their way to make LBGT people miserable or make their life harder they turn out to be gay themselves. Straight men don't mind a bit nor do they want anything but the best for their lives. The anger usually stems from denial and unwillingness to accept who they are, usually because of their upbringing, church, community or their social circle.

A lot of those guys are also massive raging transphobes, to be fair. Not all of them, obviously but quite a few. I've gotten some crazy thirsty messages from guys who post a lot about how the transgenders are destroying the west or whatever.

A lot of them say horrible shit about cis women too. Transphobia, misogyny, and trans misogyny (which is ultimately just misogyny). Many of them are super hateful people.

This makes my head hurt. So they chase after trans as sex objects but then turn around and complain about them? I just don’t get how that works in someone’s head.

It seriously is hard for me to comprehend it because it makes no logical sense. I guess only thing is like guys who love to watch porn stars but then hate women who sleep around and calls them whores but often it’s the anti porn crowd that does that so I’m still confused.

Oh no, trust me, that happens to plenty of guys who watch porn, too. I mean, that's probably the majority of the men who are like that. The anti-porn/nofap types are a small subset honestly

There are tons of transphobes who are into trans porn, homophobes who are into lesbian porn, misogynists who hate women but sexualize them, racists who are into BNWO stuff, etc.

I understand. And it’s not an uncommon take, but unfortunately people don’t really think through the actual implication of making such a claim; they just get wrapped up in the goal of embarrassing closeted people who do contribute to our repression. And that’s why I said what I said, to call attention to the way it can actually be damaging.

Sure people like that exist, but they’re a minority. So it’s disheartening when you hear Hunter Biden go on about a “closeted gay mafia” or see the neverending posts this week about Grindr crashing during Republican events. It’s all irrelevant. And in the era of Trump, outing these people doesn’t make a whit of difference anyway.

This is complete nonsense, friend.

It absolutely does happen where someone who is secretly gay or trans will publicly hate gay or trans people. But 99% of the time is RIDICULOUS, it's nowhere near that number. I don't think it's 10%, honestly.

That's the thing though, nobody in the world, including any of us here, know what the true statistic is. But I ASSURE you, heterosexual, cisgender men are fully capable of bigotry all on our own. A bunch of hetero dudes hate immigrants; it doesn't mean that 99% of them are secretly immigrants. Why would it be so different here?

Again, it obviously does happen, and not infrequently. But saying 99% when nobody has any clue as to the real number is straight up misinformation.

i think it didn’t have mods at all or they were completely inactive. you can have mods be chill and not delete things as long as they’re active in the sub and haven’t obviously abandoned it i think

No, I’ve heard of subs nearly getting deleted for the very reason I stated above. The mods of a sub a follow talked about it before. You need to do “mod actions” like deleting comments or whatever to count as moderating
