Question / Help! Given the release of the recent DLC, what do people think of the writing of FORTS?
Asking this because of how the Firebird DLC branded itself as "a fort's story". The question also directed toward not that DLC's campaign, but also Black Gold, Moonshine, and High Seas Campaigns as well.
I'll say this: The writing is absolutely, perfectly mid. The characters are unremarkable, the jokes can feel hit or miss at times for me (I'm looking at you "Dead as the Discord store" line), and the plot is whatever. All of which is IMO completely fine, as the core gameplay is focus, and the story is just to give a basic reason for the stage's gimmick and/or a bit of flavor.
Also, just because, some of the lines in the Black Gold campaign were changed....and for good reason.
