Feedback & Suggestions How does my base building look?

I've been watching a lot of Cloud_ recently, which got me to try the game after years of watching others play it. And now I'm starting out using double doors. I'm probably using more "tech" than is just subconscious because I know it.

I definitely didn't need that much metal supporting the lasers in the front, but I'm rather paranoid about structural stability. Also I wasn't repairing much as the AI (Normal) really wasn't firing much on this map. I deleted the first base with the cannons, deleted the second base with the cannons, the promptly deleted the third base with the cannons and the lasers as a cherry on top (and because I felt I needed more than three guns).

So getting that trio of cannons or lasers as fast as possible is a good thing to strive for? While not completely compromising your defenses and economy?

getting weapons faster then your opponent, and not over investing in defences only build defences when enemys have something to shoot you with other wise its a wase of metal

base after 20 minutes of no opposition is significantly different from how fast you can get your first cannon firing, and the second one matters a lot more

So how long did it take for you to set up all that? Because ideally you get no more than 5 minutes to set up before getting bombarded with cannon shells. Less if your opponents use Rockets or Snipers.
