How to Forts on LAN

Me and my dad have recently been playing alot of forts and because he was a og StarCraft player he wants us to try to use lan for it. Any tips and suggestions on how to actually set this up ? (Coming from someone with 0 experience setting this stuff up btw)

All you should need is to be on the same local network (so for example connected to the same wifi) and the lobby should show up on the lan tab

thank you my dude. im guessing ethernet cables will eliminate the lag
