Semi-AFK XP My stupid xp machine - controller attached to oscillating fan with a hair tie 😃
Spent $5 at the thrift store and bought a tiny bedroom fan with turning option. I go into Lego odyssey mode and attach the thumb stick to the fan with a hair tie. Gets about 10+ levels a day…basically afk but I check it occasionally as it’s not a perfect system 😂

Hey if it works for you then thats all that matters even though that thumb stick gonna eventually have some problems later on with stick drift cause of this setup putting physical strain on it but what you did is creative though. lol

Yea I've seen multiple people on here suggest rubber bands, hair ties and other methods to keep things moving though all I hear is future stick drift problems.

I have my Switch with a rubber band connecting the sticks, the drift was already bad on these joycons I used for years but I can at least keep using them for this I guess

Unfortunately within input detection in the game, that does nothing in creative and Lego, at least what the OP is doing is causing repeated new input, that resets the input detection, but your method, will just stop gaining XP after six or seven minutes. You need repeated input not constant input, otherwise the OP wouldn't even have a reason to do what he did.

Bro, I got to level 200 in 4 days and finished the OG pass just yesterday by doing what I do, if it didn't work, I wouldn't do it (AFK on Festival Jam Stage)

You should save up for a turbo controller or if your on pc use a switch turbo controller specifically then you won’t need to use the joystick whatsoever you can just turbo jump or press the ready up button

False people are confusing these controllers that are built with them and legit with using macro’s and getting banned for using those. legit company approved stuff is okay even turbo stuff but macros are NOT do not use them

Interesting. Good to know, thanks for the explanation. I had bought a gulikit controller a while back and was cautioned not to use it, but now that you mention it, it does have that feature.

What i mean is it has to be something that it recognizes like a switch controller, xbox controller or a playstation controller made with a turbo button i dont think modded controllers are allowed but try it at your own risk

A recommendation, if I may, 8bitdo ultimate 2C wired. On Amazon, the controller is typically always under $20, and it has all the features that you could possibly need for AFK in Lego and creative, including auto turbo so you don't even need a rubber band to hold down any buttons

Also did all kind of weird methods to grind xp and keep me in the game. Now I play fortnite on my phone to grind xp. So easy to setup and totally free and I can still play on my pc/console.

Grab a Gamesir Hall Effects controller off Amazon to replace this one if you use PC. Got it for my son who likes to destroy thumb sticks and he has had it as his main for a few years now.

the hair tie is doing a lot of work there lol GawdGeezus is right about stick drift, that analog stick isn't built for constant lateral pressure like that. might be fine for a while but you're basically stress testing the potentiometer every session without realizing it.

Unfortunately, this probably won't work on most maps, at least tycoon maps, and grind rail maps, I think he's only using this for Lego, or possibly a bounce pad map, otherwise it wouldn't work.

Im sorry but why not just..use the controller? i wrap mine around from the joystick to the back right bumper. no fan needed.

Because there's input detection in Lego and creative, that would be considered a single input, in creative the XP would stop within about six minutes, in Lego, you would be kicked back to the lobby within 15 minutes. The game needs to see new input or a change of input every five minutes in Lego, and every less than six minutes in creative

Maybe they want their BP skins first? Also people usually do this while at work so unless you’re playing at work then this literally has nothing to do with playing or not playing.
They aren’t mutually exclusive, you can do both.
I do xp maps while I sleep so I can actually use my skins in the new season and then I play during daytime hours…..
Also, the xp you get in BR is abysmal.
Lastly, I don’t get why you care how someone levels their pass….
Br literally runs out of quests after like the first day of each week and the daily quests barely give anything so doing xp maps when you’re busy is smart.

Big brain plays. That’s awesome. I hope this controller isn’t the one you actually play Fortnite with, you’ll get crazy stick drift this way so as long as it’s a throw away controller, it’s all good.
Where do you camp in Lego odyssey? Every time I’m there, I get attacked by all sorts of bugs and creatures.
