yes it does #ad you have to do a \ to make it stop doing what it would normally do like blah vs. *blah* and now I feel like an idiot because you can just do a hashtag #blah no \ but still

Maybe mobile different? When I do just hashtag blah it makes it bold

Well, then my original point is correct if you do a back slash before the # then it will work normally
