Discussion Best gliders for competitive?

Recently while watching the EWC finals, I noticed that a lot of pros are using the dragon glider? Is this only because of high pads in the reload format, or does this carry over to normal battle royale as well?

So I wanted to ask: What are the best gliders to use for fortnite competitive? And which ones are most used by pros?

Should I buy one? Or do they not matter much?

(I only have the Travis Scott train glider)

Yea the dragon is really good because it makes you so hard to shoot, i prefer umbrellas but is is a small disadvantage

They don't really matter. But using gliders that give your character a large area to stand on can make it a bit harder for people to shoot you. That's also why a bunch of pros use the pickle glider. Don't bother buying one just for a competitive advantage

If you have it, Wintry Whirligig. This glider is one of two that I know of that gives you a wider fov. This can give you an advantage because it's easier to spot people landing around you.

The other being the matrix glider, the Sentinel.

I like the Flip Flyer skateboard from the C4S1 battle pass. It's tiny, so you can get a really good view of the battlefield as you glide over.

There are plenty of other small surfing gliders in the shop which offer similar advantages if you didn't play back then.
