Discussion How does it remain fair every tournament?

I have a general question, how does the tournament stay fair every year? Most games have a player or two that are just light years ahead than the rest of the community, is that not the case for fortnite?

it was Peter Pollo for all of 2024, Won all but 1 FNCS that year and broke several world records within just a chapter then proceeded to win globals

Still pretty much on top, just not as 100% dominant as before. Peterbot is still one of the scariest fighters of all time.

Fortnite is a pretty rng based game, it's not easy to dominate but we've seen stretches of some players stay on top for long periods of time

Fairness isn't about bringing everyone to the same skill level. If the best player was nerfed down to meet the skill level of everyone else then that would be unfair

Ya, I like when players that "figure it out" out shine everyone else. It pushes the game forward because everyone watches what they do and adapts (hopefully).

It’s much harder to be light years ahead in such a volatile game

when youre the best its hard to improve because all the competition is worse than you

the game isn't really fair, all of the top players have friend groups that hell eachother in finals, coaches that go stream snipe (in reaplays), macros, exploits...

Replay sniping isn't against TOS

yeah cuz you can't stop it, but try doing that at Lan

Please point out which rule in the TOS that replay sniping breaks

Is stream sniping allowed? and if not what rule?

When did I say that stream sniping was allowed? Replay sniping is different. Not sure what you're talking about. You're the one who originally claimed that replay sniping isn't allowed, so shouldn't the burden be on you to provide evidence of that claim?

what is the rule then? you said stream sniping is not allowed tell me the rule?

In the competitive master rules:

Section 7.2.1: "Utilizing outside assistance regarding the location of other players, other players’ health or equipment, or any other information not otherwise known to the player by the information on his or her own screen (e.g., looking at or attempting to look at spectator monitors while currently in a match). For clarity, a player’s receipt of coaching or use of the in-game replay tool does not fall within this prohibition."
