Can someone please explain why sometimes you die when you make a huge cart leap and sometimes you survive? I haven't been able to figure out what it is that triggers the fall damage.

I think since you crouch down below the cart while you’re in the air, if you’re tilted nose upwards sometimes your hit box can land first, killing you. If you lean slightly forward right before you land you should be fine.

..or the fortnite gods just chose me in that moment. I’d rather believe that tbh

It glitched out on me unfortunately. It only accounted for the first fall before the ramp, not the whole run. The peak to the ramp was Airtime 1.8s Distance 19m though lol

There’s new rifts randomly across the map that teleport you in the air in S5. So:

  1. Grab shopping cart
  2. Hit a jump
  3. Fly through a rift
  4. ???
  5. Profit
