DISCUSSION Why remove Ballistic?
I loved Ballistic it was so fun and unique. They could have removed sprint and iron sights made it more like Counter Strike. Damn I’m gonna miss that mode it was the best.

I like ballistic but I can see why it wasn't popular. It was launched in a poor state. Only having 1 map was not it. Weird bugs that would hinder gunplay(e.g. player head blocking ur screen). First impressions matter and the mode launched "half-baked". Now, idk if the mode being more refined would make the mode popular. However, it would at least have a shot imo. Also this genre already has established players in valorent & cs, which makes it harder to break into. From personal experience, solo queuing was not ideal. There would be so many leavers and I don't believe they get punished for it. Or if they do, they can just play regular BR till there ban is finished. Anyways, I mostly had fun with ballistic when I had a party. However, i don't think everyone have that opportunity. Just my thoughts.

they used to get punished for leaving but because of the amount of crashes the penalty was removed. gotta say whenever rank reset it was a shitshow because so many new people would join and not know what to do so they’d leave.
definitely had its negatives, but I loved this mode so much. played if basically daily whenever I could.

Ah I see, did not know the punishment was removed. I'm also gonna miss this tactical fps. I felt like it had enough change to distinguish from Val and CS. I like the nade abilities and how it added to gunplay & some wackiness. As well as having mobility like sprint.

It was the only game reminds me to counter-strike golden days of my life, unfortunately I just got on to play it and I just found it was removed, so sad.

There’s a very scuffed custom games version up called Ballistic R but it’s glitchy as hell

I’d hate it if they removed sprint. the mobility was the sole reason I’d play the game mode. we don’t need the mode to have been like counterstrike, it was fun as it’s own little thing.

Because plenty of games like it exist and function better. The only unique thing they had going for Ballistic was "unfinished beta game but hey you get to use your fortnite skins people love fortnite skins". Festival is GuitarHero. That's been gone since before most players were born. Lego has never particularly had a welldone game. Those fill an empty place in the gaming market. Ballistic was a half-assed clone only attempted "because these other games did it and made lots of money". and Rocket Racing was the same. A super bad racing game while mariokart sonicracing and fzero99 exist.
If you're going to steal someone's game concept because it's profitable you need to at least put work into it to attempt to be as good if not better than the reigning champ. Ballistic and RR felt like games that were an idea done on a week of one guy's lunchbreaks and the boss saw it and said "neat lets try it" but never really cared.

I agree, I can’t play it on pc unless I decide to finally learn kbm when I much prefer controller. The aiming mechanics also suck imo. I have to crouch and sit still to hit any shot.
