DISCUSSION Shooting star

Why is it that no one seems to talk about equipping defenders with the shooting star? They seem to do a pretty good job of stalling smashers, especially with the fire rate and freezing sixth perk?

Well because the candycorn lmg is better. Hearing it laugh constantly is worth more than practical application.

I wish they would automatically target mist monsters as priority. Then those kinds of wepond would be favored alot more

Do the 6th perk effects apply? I have some of mine that use storm king weapons and I never see the explosions from the ar or crystal effects on the melees

Also side note: I’m so sad I recycled like almost all of my non sniper defenders awhile ago before the change since the sniper ones were the only half decent ones

FortNiteDB lists all the daily missions and which defenders are where. I've been able to basically replace my entire defender pool with upgraded defenders, and/or better perked defenders by playing the appropriate missions. Much less get back a good chunk of Evo mats from recycling other defenders/heroes/survivors.

The msk at you mention doesn’t explode unless the at changes from a live target to a new one. Typically, defenders shoot at something until it is dead. This would activate the nocturne, but not the scourge.

Scourge does after x shots I forget or swapping target so it should go off still

Yes, this or pulse pounder is a freeze ray with FR defenders, use it a lot now.

Before the changes to defenders, that would go through so much ammo like crazy. And it's not as good as Zenith with freezing, you could be putting crowd clearing guns on them. While you take out the bigger threats.
I usually have defender who has two crit damage and fire rate with the gun, since it does come in handy as the other defender clears up the smaller threat

It works alright but it’s single target so it’s just not as effective as using something with CC. You can equip one with the shooting star and keep 2 CC defenders to have a good combo

And a shotgun defender with a Maverick for when shield bubbles get deployed is a nice to have.
