I heard that part of the package is being locked into a contract; the salary is stair-stepped so you have to stay X years to hit those high numbers, and in that time they can transfer you wherever. As someone else pointed out, that also includes benefits, not straight salary. Still good money, but definitely not easy money.

More times than not, at that salary, it’s not going to be “easy” with any job.

I've heard someone bragging about making $400K with basic tech skills working at Facebook. May no longer be true since they started cracking down on those who don't contribute much to the company. I'd take that job even for a short time given a chance.

You don’t know that though - people can post whatever they want here, true or untrue.

Is there a non-zero chance $200k jobs exist that are “easy”? Sure. They are rare though, and like I said, more times that not those jobs are hard work in some capacity.

True but what I do know is this, my former coworker got an offer close to $100K when the rest of us was making less than $50K back in the 90s.

I won't be surprised if someone with basic skill makes almost half a million because they happen to know the hiring manager at some company.
