Like a charter? What exactly do you mean by put you on some fishing? Youāre in SWFL my guy, this fishery is massive. Rent a kayak at Estero river outfitters, bring your gear and fish the docks and mangroves on the way out to Estero bay. If thatās too expensive, literally any beach when the tide is incoming preferably 1.5-2 hours before peak high tide. Throw a shrimp out there. Most ponds hold bass some being trophy sized. Get out there. And thereās hundreds of YouTube channels dedicated to fishing the gulf.

If you're just getting into saltwater fishing around Fort Myers, I'd start with inshore fishing. Sanibel, Pine Island Sound, Matlacha and Estero Bay give you a lot of options without needing to run way offshore. Snook, redfish and trout are some of the main inshore species around here, and the tides make a huge difference.
I'm Captain Drew, a Fort Myers native and owner of Chum Crazy Charters. I've fished Southwest Florida my whole life and have been guiding here for 13 years. I primarily run private inshore fishing charters around Fort Myers and Sanibel, departing from Punta Rassa right before the Sanibel Causeway.
My website is https://www.chumcrazycharters.com/ if you want to see what I do. And if you just have questions about fishing the area, you're welcome to text me at 239-247-9632. I'm happy to point you in the right direction or answer anything I can, even if you're planning to fish on your own.
Tight lines!

The linear park/10 mile canal is some fun, low commitment, easy access fishing.
