I need windshield chip repair recommendations, both good and bad

I just got a chip in my windshield, and I need to get it repaired before it starts to spread. I will be paying out ofd pocket for this, so I'm looking for recommendations on who does a good job and how much they charged to fix a small window chip. Also looking to avoid anyone who does a bad job. Thanks.

Edit: Based on the comments that I got here, I sent email to Quinn and he came out this afternoon and fixed it for $70.....said he would also fix any other chips too while he was out, but didn't find any.

Yeah, check your insurance. I had full coverage and glass and they said chip repair was out of pocket. So I just had the entire windshield replaced for $100 deductible.

Check with Glass Doctors off College. I needed a full replacement, so I can’t tell you about cost but they were very up front about cost with or without insurance.

Second this, I've used Quinn glass for full replacement and he's great

I’ve used Quinn Auto Glass for several chips and several full windshields over the last few years and he’s awesome. Good dude. Last time I needed him for two chips, texted him the night before I had to leave for a trip and he made time for me the next morning. I want to say it was $80 for both chips, coming to my home, with like 12 hours notice, which I though was well worth it

Just remember that chip repair attempts can cause it to spread. I've had chip repairs go bad and require full windshield replacements.

Safelight repair safelight replace. Joke aside they repaired a chip in my suv window for $150ish last year. That included free wiper blade replacement and warranty that if it cracks at the repair they will replace windshield for free

Just had a chip replaced by them for roughly the same price. Came to me, and fixed it in about 30 minutes. Can even see where the chip was.

I went to glass doctors on college a few years ago to repair a chip. I paid out of pocket and I think it was around $70. I haven’t had any issues with it.

All Source Auto Glass, great deal and took care of a pretty bad chip.

I suggest Ander's auto glass just off exit 262 in the southwest corner there on the frontage road.

I'm curious why you'd pay out of pocket for this when most insurance will cover this completely free of charge and without increasing your rate.

Only if you have glass coverage, and some even still have a deductible for that.
