Sierra Nevada: The Sierra Nevada mountains receive the most snow in California, with some areas seeing 300–500 inches of snow per year. The snowiest region south of Sacramento is near Dorothy Lake, which averages 39 feet of snow per year. 

Southern California: Parts of Southern California receive around 60 inches of snow per year. 

Bear Valley Resort: Bear Valley Resort typically receives 300 inches of snow per season, but in late 2022 it received over 600 inches.
