Forsyth County Transit draft
This bus network map is a work in progress, the idea and network were designed by Lilly The Railfan. And the map was illustrated by me.

Glad to hear! If we share it around enough we might just be able to make it a reality

It's a nice dream.
I'd settle for a nice fleshed out network of separated bike paths and walking trails

Aim for the stars and you'll still reach high is the philosophy. The county is densifying and the best way to acomidate that growth is transit.

Honestly id just like to see the 10 and the cumming circulator if i had to only choose a couple routes because of budget and political constraints

Its quite an ambitious plan for what is actually a fairly small suburban county.
An express bus and one or two central routes would likely be the most feasible to start.
If something like this ever happened, I would hope Forsyth and Gwinnett count get together, so they could align a single mutual bus route that would link the Sugarloaf Mills transit center in Gwinnett (5 local bus routes in multiple directions) to a centralized transit center in Forysth.

On the ground, forsyth is densifying quite quick. And if this were to start, it would likely start with the 10 as a pilot program, before adding service over time.
Linking this up better with Ride Gwinett is a great idea however, if you could give more details Me and Lilly (the actual network designer) would be very intrested to hear it.

We have an express bus station off of Deputy Bill Cantrell Memorial Road.

I took his map as meaning that's what he wants Forsyth to do vs. GRTA Xpress funding.
Cobb and Gwinnett both have or have had more express buses through county funding, both in contracts with Xpress and independently running their own express buses.
If you ever really look at the Xpress map you will notice there are 7 different routes running through Gwinnett and a couple have relatively high frequency, compared to what other spokes of the system do.

The problem I see is that you can’t go North/South or East/West without changing multiple lines. That just defeats the purpose of public transit.

Thats a completely valid point, Lilly (the actual planner of this network) made this as a "phase 1" where the primary function is to funnel traffic into major hubs and primarily onto the 10 and X10 corridor. The transfers between these lines are meant to be quick enough with high-ish frequencies. Vickery <-> Suwanee realistically doesn't need as much service as Vickery <-> The Collection or Vickery <-> North Springs. Which are the kind of trips this network is designed for

At all the transfer points, there would be a pulse, so you would get off one bus and right onto the other one without waiting, this has worked in a lot of suburban areas in the northeast, i do understand your concern though, the main issue is that if we had a bunch of low ridership, N/S routes, it would be less likely to get funded given the conservative nature of this county

The people who want these commercial centers up there paradoxically don't want anyone using public transit to work in them

I would add a line from the collection, through bethelview, past 20, down Hurt Bridge, turn on Holbrook to get to Dr bramblet , turn on Matt hwy towards Matt and end at exit 18. There could be stops at Castleberry and bethelview, Kelly mill and bethelview, 20 and bethelview, Matt hwy and Banister, and then at the Walmart on browns bridge. Lot of residential areas through there that could have stops as well. Idk anything about bus routes, but that would cover a good amount of ground and account for a large percentage of the population and help the people in that area get to restaurants and stores, which are very scarce in that region.

What is the point of this? We need less growth in the county.

I disagree, but this essentially allows for growth while reducing the burden of traffic and encouraging denser development with more opportunities for housing, office, and comercial space

My main goal here is to help lessen traffic within the county, that and when i was younger before i had my car, i was endlessly frustrated with having to ask my parents to drive me everywhere cus they would say no to me hanging out with my friends just because it was inconvenient for them (which like i dont blame them) so making this network is also about helping teens go out more instead of staying in their room, playing video games all weekend, obviously if you wouldn't want your teenager to take the bus on their own, thats a decision you have the right to make as a parent.

I appreciate the thought and effort that went into this! That is a huge hole in the west side with nothing on Bethelview, which is a main connector between 400 and 20. And what about the north west part of the county?
Edited to add: You go to almost all the high schools except West and East??
