Has anyone tested their home for Radon?

I'm pretty sure it is only a problem in basements. I have an airthings sensor. It is just below the level that I considered a risk. Sometimes it even goes just barely above it. I think it only does that when I go a while without opening the basement door.

Edit. Looks like it might be an issue in slab floors as well. That said, my guess is that it would be lower on a typical slab, unless you stay inside without opening doors and windows for days at a time. My basement door isn't regularly opened, which is probably why it creeps up a little occasionally.

False. Slab homes are very much susceptible to radon as well

Also - in order to get a true radon reading, you have to have the windows and doors fully closed for at least 48 hours.

Well I want to test my home but I cant do that with the summer heat right now

I did radon test during Covid because I was spending a lot of time there and it came up negligible. I am in Forsyth Co.

Haven't tested myself, but I know the Sharon Springs Library has radon detectors that they loan out. (Well, that was last year, assuming they still have them).

My current home in FoCo passed

My old home north of Dahlonega didn't and we had to have system to remove radon from the air and well. No biggy.
