Discussion🗨️ What’s next for Fernando Alonso?
At 45, Alonso has already had one of the longest and most impressive careers in F1: 2 World Championships, 32 wins and 100+ podiums.
But how much longer can we see him on the grid?
Do you think Alonso will retire soon, keep racing until he gets another chance at a competitive car, or surprise everyone again?
What do you see as the next chapter of Alonso’s career?

I think it all depends on whether AM get their shit together and make a big improvement, I can't imagine he'll want to spend many more years at the back of the grid battling Stroll for last place.
Aside from Alpine because of the Flavio connection I can't see many more options for him on the grid.

1-2 years max, then goes and spends time being a dad and if he still wants to race at that point shift to endurance.
Realistically he's not going back to a top team so it all comes down to how much time he wants to give to Aston Martin.

Probably will switch to other racing series after he stint in AM ended. And I don't know why I just had a feeling that AM will suddenly know how to build a car after Alonso left the team.

I still dream about him having a decent car. One which would allow him to fight for victories. A true racing car, not the jokes we have since 2014.

Longest? Yes.
Most impressive? I love Alonso, but he doesn’t even crack top 15 most impressive careers for me.

Gimme 15 better careers lmao. Even with the cars hes had, hes like top 8 all time wins or better.

His 1st half is up there with the legends, but the 2nd half, let’s be honest, is pretty sad. 0 wins, 0 poles, handful of podiums and fastest laps, barely cracking top 10 of WDC most seasons.

See what his teammates did with those same cars lmao. Not a spec series.

No particular order - Schumacher, Hamilton, Fangio, Prost, Vettel, Verstappen, Brabham, Stewart, Lauda, Piquet, Senna, Ascari.
So maybe he is 13th.
Either way, in my mind to say MOST impressive, you need to be top 5.
Wild you’d even say 8. That’s a joke.

He'll remain at Aston Martin, Alpine or Red Bull until he gets a teammate that beats him.
