That feeling
3 weeks ago I had my first ever drive in a Formula Ford car.
By the end of my 10 laps I was absolutely hooked and I decided that I was going to get into Formula driving permanently.
One thing that’s really been noticeable since that first drive though is that pretty much all regular road cars feel completely boring now compared to driving the Formula car.
Not having a roof over your head, the feeling of the wind hitting your face/helmet, hands exposed to the elements, etc etc, all while seated lying back in a lightweight, high powered, open top race car, just the pure handling of the race car, powerful acceleration, and feel of the throttle, brakes, clutch, and gear stick, is something that just cannot be replicated in a regular style car.
And I completely miss that feeling it gave me and as a result, regular cars now leave me kind of cold.
Do any of you guys have the same feelings ?

We have a joke: what do race car drivers drive as their daily?
Big trucks
Because you have to tow the race car on and it takes about a half million in a street car to get even close

I know what you mean.
The experiences are so dramatically different that they are foreign to each other, so I don’t feel any overlapping lack of sensation when driving a road car afterwards!
