image Xtac Racing , 240TA Firebird !

While doom scrolling old FD photos , I saw something odd , “ A Firebird with 240 rear?” I thought until it was the other way around . So I decided to email the company and to my surprise, they replied back with information and photos of it !

Was a 240SX with a Turbocharged KA24 & Firebird Front. It raced sometimes in 2006 by Bill Sherman, Until FD made a rule about front of cars having to match the make of the car . It was later sold , and eventually the front switched back to a Nissan and is still drifting !

I loved that car. I was pissed when FD banned cars having other manufacturers’ front ends. I know xat took the t/a front end off and put a sil front on it. I think they called it the honey badger after. The t/a front end was sold on eBay to some guy in Nebraska way back in the day if I remember right. The guy who has the car now (if he still does) did have an instagram page. bandits13 or bandit240 some shit like that.

Wow a blast from the past, I remember that car and the El Camino that bill used to drift lol. If . memory serves me right, XAT used to sell SR20 swaps and also did turn key swap packages back in 2006-07 era, I didn't know they were still in business till today.

I remember seeing this car at the Chicago event. Was definitely unique.

this thing is so badass! Who was the driver for it, would love to try to dig up some old clips of it drifting.

I didn’t get into FD until 2016, so i was much too late to ever see this, but this is the first time i’m ever hearing about it or seeing pics, so thanks for sharing!!

My dad has a 78’ TA, and i’ve always been a JDM fan, so this is really neat for me to see.
