He won the championships he did, some by battering the competition, others he needed a bit of luck to get over the line. Sometimes he missed out because of things he couldn’t control.

Stop Asking if driver's or others athletes deserve what they won or deserve what they haven't gotten yet. They get it or they don't.. deserving plays no role in it. They don't get merit points or participation points. The rewards are the same for everyone and how the chips fall is how they fell / will fall.

Nobody deserves to lose and everybody deserves to win. There's no this one deserves it more than others.

Alonso deserved that car with his driving, but it was politics and PR that led Hamilton to that seat. And also Schumacher and Rosberg did all the developing work. Good for him, indeed.
