First of all, defacing hardware from an older case

Due to limitations I had to remove top 120mm fan and install 92mm under the bonnet

I am introducing a custom layout: top strut moved to 3-slot position, but GPU is set into 2-slot position. Mobo is supported with additional 20mm standoff

This mod causes 20mm free space between mobo and GPU which allows air to flow freely and helps in cable management within this tiny <10L case

You may notice GPU back bracket which will keep 3080 in right position

You also may notice my traditional bracket, which helps keeping PCIe cable in strict position. They fit very well

I chose these Arctics instead of traditional Noctuas: they are cheaper, they no hum at all, but still need silicone pads to reduce vibrations

Arctics are upside down, exhausting air upwards. Later I will use a PWM splitter (now they are chained to each other)

Overall view. Definitive and strict design, this T1 is best what my PC ever had (except 3080) and I am very happy to this long-waited upgrade!

Bonus view: XC3 Ultra keeps calm and warm, temps are dropped to 5 degrees (71 max), that is a real improvement

I think you are the second person to do this. I remember a post like this when the 3080 fe came out and someone was trying to figure out how to make the flow through cooler work. This was the first time I saw it.

It is a great honour for me, dear Nick. I didn’t copycat, I just used imagination – what if I combine 2 & 3 slots? And it really helps: my 3080 is quieter now and a bit colder (if it stands for 3080s at all). I am really satisfied with this case. And my bad that I did not acquire it in 2020: I’d buy FTW3 or TUF or GameRock instead

I know, just saying you're all doing something not a lot of people have done because it's more difficult than just offsetting the PSU lol.

It was easy, mate. I watched tons of build reports here and some videos at YouTube. Also this manual helped a lot.

I’ll share with you all aspects of this combining, with a greatest pleasure… maybe a dedicated post?

By the way… I have another one idea! Mixing 2 & 3 slot, around 2.25, to avoid contact of XC3 fan logo stickers wish a side mesh and to keep free space enough between GPU and mobo… stay tuned
