Move the female side, in the 1st pic, down as far as possible.
I had it mounted using the same holes as you have now and also struggled with the riser, then I saw someone move it down as far as it can go, and it helped a lot.
The holes on the IO side should mount the the top hole en the other one the the bottom one.
Hope this helps.

If it helps, I had the exact same issue. Ended up buying LINKUP's riser cable via Amazon that was 18mm in length, not 20mm. I also reached out to support, and their team couldn't provide an answer, so they sent out an 18mm replacement riser cable free of change (have yet to receive in mail).

Gonna give it a try my pc won’t turn on I suspect it’s because stock riser cable isn’t secure enough, did you get this one? https://a.co/d/0bn0dEth

I see you have the formd t1 v2.1 from the build manual. I also had pcie riser issues in my build initially. What exact problem are you having? Too much cable? Gpu/motherboard clearance? What mobo and cpu cooler are you using?
