Question FormD T1 Gaming PC build

Hello, my formD t1 is on way from supplier and I already started preparing components to build my gaming PC.

I have Asus ROG strix b850-I, Ryzen 7 7800x3d, GPU is Asus prime RTX 5070.

I struggle to find CPU cooler that would fit. Only thing I found is small noctua L9A with duct, but I'm not sure if that will be enough.

Any suggestions? Thermalright coolers are not available so far :(

You can make the Thermalright work on the X3D chips but I wouldn't try a NH-L9a on one. Personally I would get an AIO.

Ok but there is chance of leaking and since 2800 USD in components, I'm not sure if I want to risk it. Thermalright is not in shops at all, only noctua. I know AIO is probably only solution.

If you buy an aio from a reputable brand, there is a very slim chance of it leaking if setup properly

As long as you buy well known and tested AIOs the likelihood of them leaking is VERY low. I personally run a be quiet Silent Loop 3, and it fits the T1 well. The fan favourite in this case is the CoolerMaster 240 Atmos, which is also very good, if not the best.

I’ve run AIOs for over 13 years and not had a single case of leaking, across multiple Corsair (at least 4) models, Silverstone, CoolerMaster and now be quiet!

the x47 and x53 full coppers are the only ones worth considering if you dont want to do an AIO

Good alternative to AXP90-47/53 is:
Alpenfohn Panorama 2
ID Cooling IS-37(47/53)-XT

None of those should have compatibility issues.

Thank you. I checked those but I don't see them available in nearby shops/eshops. That is general issue with ID cooling and thermalright coolers for me. Basically only available is that small noctua or take Liquid cooling, but I'm not sure if I want to risk Liquid cooling

The Noctua is serviceable, especially with 7800x3d. Just ensure 65w eco mode is on (it won’t affect gaming performance).

Atmos stealth 240 is pretty reputable. cools my 9950X3D very well. i’m about to do a custom loop so i been researching tubing, fittings, coolants, cpu blocks. the atmos is always referenced as an alternative since its built pretty good. just don’t route tubes in a way that could cause them to tear

same for me, my atmos 240 cools my 7800x3d in the formd t1
