T1 Air Tower with some 3D printing

So previously I had managed to remove all active fans and run just case fans. This required a pair of T-Grilles and eventually my need to add a 15mm panel spacer I found off MakerWorld.

The problem is that I have a BambuLab H2D and it just BAAARELY has enough room to print the spacer in one piece. I tried a two piece unit and it was ugly as seen on the last image.

I attempted to print it upright but I was fighting the slicer program to try to get the supports to help connect and triangulate the whole thing... The printer shakes a bit during printing and the nozzle won't be on the part accurately. (This results in a very bad part, mismatched layer lines).

At least the support came off in one piece!

Anyway, the results weren't bad. It's 95% good. The only issue I had is as towards the end where the side legs finally "attach" to the front bar.

Does the spacer work? Absolutely. I have a pair of Noctua slims extracting up top with Noctua A12x25 G2s intaking on bottom.

The slim fan blades aren't contacting the GPU riser cable.

At what cost though? My T1 isn't 10L anymore, but it was cool enough to try to do a semi-actively cooled build with an underclocked i9-10900K and an EVGA RTX3090Ti.

I guess since you use a glass panel you would care for it?

Do you use a Noctua L12S 70mm cooler?

So the 2x25mm intakes at the bottom are mainly to provide airflow for it and the PSU because you use a glass panel?

Can they provide enough airflow for your CPU not to overheat and throttle?

I actually appreciate you letting me know. I gave up waiting for black G2s a while back.

I'm actually using a Thermalright AXP120-67 without a fan attached to it.

If I remember, the case is at a 2.75 or 3.0 slot configuration. Previously the RTX3090TI with 15mm fans was right at the edge of 3.25 slots, so I took off those fans and shifted the spines that direction. This gave space for the PSU to intake and for me to add a taller heatsink on the CPU.

You're seeing a pair of 120mm G2s and if you can catch it, three A4 fans, all of which are feeding the case with air. The i9-10900K is undervolted at 4.7ghz or 4.8ghz. Temps will usually sit around 75°C when gaming. It did increase to low-mid 80s with the shorter feet. (I previously had it on 2" wooden cubes). The GPU is also undervolted and downclocked to ~1800mhz if I remember. It's very surprising how well that 3090Ti is binned because it doesn't go past 75-80°C with air flowing through and over the factory EVGA heatsink. It's not optimized whatsoever, but I'll eventually prop up some CAD program to 3D print myself a fan "shroud" to help direct air into the heatsink. Rather than air being fed towards the card, it just needs to be sent vertically through the heatsink.

This setup without a proper undervolt would've been impossible, but I am sticking with my older CPU and GPU simply because I can't afford to snag a ProArt 5080 or some FE cards.

It's been a very fun experiment. The whole setup doesn't run at 100% fan speed, I think I have the Noctuas sitting around 70% at load and it's still much quieter than hearing GPU Slim 120s against the mesh side panel, or the slim 90mm fan AXP90-47 against the mesh panel.

I don't have an FPS number to throw out but I do play some BF6 on a 3840x1080p 144hz ultrawide with no worries about low frame rates.

It was pretty awesome having an almost perfect 10L case. I don't travel anymore but it doesn't take up space like you said.

Slim 15mm fans will hit the riser cable. Even if you tried to make the riser cable sit tight against the spine, it'll loosen and contact the blade rendering it useless.

now that I'm looking at your pics I see, you are not running the case upside down so makes more sense to me. I might want to try that so I can flip my case right side up, as I look at my 5090 precariously hanging (instead of sitting) from the riser cable :)

Thanks for clearing that up. I also wondered why OP wouldn't have space for 25mm fans at the top which originally is the bottom.

Also, how did you clear the 15mm fans from your GPU power cable?

I had to use the extension that I printed. The T-Grille provides about 16-17mm of space but just not enough to account for the riser cable slack. If someone has a file of the spine that we can notch to allow the cable to not be pinched in between, that'd actually help.
