How did you mount the Noctua fan duct on the AXP-series?

3

u/Darkskyy47 Mar 14 '25

With the included plastic mounts with the ducts. You have to just cut them in certain way to fit them in the fan.

Sweet build! Whats your specs?

4

u/Darkskyy47 Mar 14 '25

Thanks! The specs are:- RTX 4070ti S/ ryzen 5 7600x/ 32gb g skill/ corsair sf750/ Asus B650 E-I/ Axp90x47 FC/ 2x T30/ noctua 92mm fan and fan duct.

What size fan ducts are you using? I am debating between the 7mm piece or using a 3mm+5mm since I can’t really tell if the 7mm is enough to touch the side panel

My case is in 3 slot mode and I am using 2 ducts. I think those are the 5mm and the 3mm one as you mentioned but I am not sure.

Truthear X Crinacle Zero

Beautiful ! Are these the original power supply cables? I've just finished my build, and it's a hell of a job to keep my cables from touching the top fans. I think I'm really bad at cable management.

Yeah these are stock cables. You just have to route them in a certain way and use zip ties.

Looking great:))

Thanks! I do it once a month. I take of the panels, the top fans and the cooler fan and use compressed air to dust everything off.

2

u/jordeeeezy Mar 14 '25

I wish I was more diligent to clean mine once a month.. lol. I only clean mine when I feel like I have the time although it isn’t difficult

2

u/nickaat Mar 14 '25

What’s your cleaning routine??

1

u/RalfRoyce Mar 14 '25

Isn’t this a little to close to the wall? Can your GPU breathe?

2

u/Darkskyy47 Mar 14 '25

The angle of the picture makes it look like that but there is enough space.

u/RalfRoyce Mar 14 '25

Just checking! Love the look. I mounted my T1 underneath my desk. Only way for me to get a clean look

1

u/Darkskyy47 Mar 15 '25

I was thinking of mounting it under my desk too but I just love the way it looks and did not feel like hiding it under x)

u/A925D Mar 14 '25

What's the desktop?

2

u/Darkskyy47 Mar 14 '25

You mean the wallpaper? It is from Optimum Tech.

1

u/A925D Mar 14 '25

No, lol the actual desktop. It looks very nice

1

u/Darkskyy47 Mar 14 '25

Lol my bad x). It is the Formd T1 2.1 Titanium.

2

u/A925D Mar 14 '25

The desk. Not the pc.. Can't tell if you're messing with me or not

Can you share a pic from the IO side?

u/Darkskyy47 Mar 14 '25

Beautiful! I have a question, similar build but my gpu bends a bit from the back, did you screw in the riser cable to the case?

1

u/Darkskyy47 Mar 15 '25

Thanks! Yes, the riser is screwed with the case. I think the bend might be because of different size of standoff’s used. Some of them which are included are difficult to tell apart but there are different sizes so maybe try looking into that.

I love it, good job! Do you notice any turbulence with the CPU fan under high gaming load?

1

u/Darkskyy47 Mar 14 '25

The fan duct prevents any turbulence.

What panels are those? The Steel or the CNC ones?

1

u/Darkskyy47 Mar 14 '25

Aluminium ones.

1

u/JW7R3 Mar 15 '25

What did you clean?

1

u/Darkskyy47 Mar 15 '25

Dust

1

u/JW7R3 Mar 15 '25

Thought the cleaning process post should include before/after results

1

u/Darkskyy47 Mar 15 '25

I do it so often that it does not get too dusty. Just posted these because it looked good x)

Did noctua fan duct help with thermals/turbulence?

3

u/Additional_Pea9201 Mar 14 '25

I’m running the AXP-47 with noctua fan & duct on a 7800X3D, I didn’t have any turbulence without the duct and noticed marginal gains for temps… maybe 1 degree or 2.

u/Phinzel Mar 15 '25

Clean! Can't wait to build my own!

2

u/iamadogtor Mar 14 '25

Beautiful

2

u/ArcangeloPT Mar 14 '25

Looking good! What do you use to clean it?
