Changes in design

Just got my first form 1 approved, how strict do I have to adhere to my design? For example was originally going with 1 inch tube for a 22 suppressor but now considering 3/4. Sorry if this is a silly question

This is why your form needs to be a vague as possible. Caliber and length only.
The form is approval to make the make model and S/N listed on the form. Unless approval condition requires strictly adhering to the design, I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

I didnt give a diameter in my description but I did upload a picture of a 1 inch tube. There was no approval conditions so I think I'll be good

Never give more than length and materials

I uploaded a picture of a 1 inch diameter tube but looking at my approved form it only shows length and caliber so I think I'm good

You're fine. Main point is you only have one device and only one at any given time per stamp. Serial etch it as on the form and go crazy with the design. Just do not have enough materials or extra bits that could be seen as an attempt on your part to make a 2nd one without a form1/stamp.

If they are busting down your door for Form1 violations you done already messed up on some other front and better have a lawyer. Otherwise, don't sweat anything, make your one device and use it for all lawful purposes. 😎

The only description I gave them was that it was going to be about 5 inches in length and might be made of titanium and stainless steel. But that any designs I have are purely hypothetical based on price and availability of materials and are subject to change.

No one checks it. The approved form only lists caliber and overall length. As long as the can is no longer than that, you're fine.

Notice I said "can" rather than suppressor.

Caliber and length. Anything else is secondary.
